Hands down…one of the BEST Mother’s Day ever! Church with my BestSon, Naughter (niece/daughter), Neph and THEE best parents- flowers and gifts from my parents, brother, nephs, aunts and uncles - messages and love from my bonus sons and adult sons do adult gifts- LOVE my Fendi slides (no more macaroni necklaces 🥴) brunch after church and home to my Non-in-Law (Nephew/Son-in-law) on the grill with the lamb chops 🙌🏽 The pastor talked about being RICH but not in money but RICH in life, blessings, love and peace…and MY GOD- I AM and I am SO very thankful! 🙌🏽 Thank you God, ancestors and Orishas. Sunday we celebrated my mom’s 82nd bday laughing at dinner for 3 st8 hours. I drove my mama crazy in my teen years and she stood strong. Never laid a hand on me (although I definitely would have deserved it 🥴), never cussed me, never intentionally hurt me and never let me go. She stayed helping and waiting …for me to grow TF up. Bought a house across the street and can pop in between her yoga and meditation and go on walks and enjoy line dancing on Thursdays and continue to grow from her wisdom, and with her. At this stage she fully knows and understands me and vice versa. Blessed to have gotten here. I am infinitely blessed with family and love. I have no complaints. Thank you God, ancestors, Orishas and beyond. Happy Birthday Mommy and I pray for many more. Love YOU ❤️

Today I had a good old ugly cry in the shower. It’s been years. I wasn’t upset about a thing. I was reading my affirmations taped to my shower and listening to “ Say Amen” by Howard Hewitt. I was crying because I’m so THANKFUL. God knows as wild as I was that my story could have ended a LONG time ago. Everything is handled and everything will always be OK. I literally thanked God because I lost 5 pounds from my flu this weekend. 😭 I promise you can find a blessing anywhere- if you are truly thankful for your blessings instead of focusing on negativity. So today, on December 1st- in a month that has not been kind- in a year that hasn’t been the best- I want to say THANK YOU for giving this former wild child a chance to course correct and wake up to praise God and keep fighting.
