Work with Jill to find your funny!. You are invited to spend four weeks working on a scene and laughing till it hurts! Exploring a creative and fulfilling rehearsal process, pacing and energy, buildling creative characters, understanding the jokes, spontaneity and impulses, finding depth and truth in comedy, vocal play, and connection.
Jill’s philosophy is that acting can be limitless but is always a work in progress. We can always learn more and continue developing towards our craft! Continuing to build skills and develop a strong rehearsal process benefits auditions. We strive for excellence, bravery and boldness. Perfection doesnt exist, but a spontaneous and creative actor does!
This 2 day class will focus on technical Techniques for auditions that require self taping.
Our learning goals include :
How to navigate around quick turnarounds
eye-lines
lighting and sound
adjusting to tone
having strong exciting choices
The use of props and furniture
Exiting and varied entrances and exits.
A quick and creative rehearsal process. How to stand out immediately and produce a professional and excellent self tape.
Bonus: Receive written feedback from casting Director Judy Lee from final taping!
