The day I had to drop my bags on the sidewalk because the four-block walk home from the grocery store was too much, I should have dropped to my knees and embraced Her then. It had been dozens of flares by then. Maybe hundreds. I pushed home. I kept showing up. I performed the tasks. I organized my identity around depletion. A timeline cleanse for all the timelines 😏❤️‍🔥✨ Those of us who travel across a lot of leylines, timelines, places across the globe in order to do our work may appear “inconsistent” to some in our lives. The constant that hums in the background is the gathering of oneself in every place:: The gathering and wholing of oneself, no matter where you are and who you’re with is the power of a true timeline jumper. . As timelines collapse, it is important to go back to the places physically and mentally, where there are fragments of us we need to gather. Unresolved pains with people and places are calls to mend our relationships with ourselves. . Everytime I go back to a place I’ve been many times or a place I feel like I’ve been in my Spirit, I am feeling into what I can resolve there within my own body. I’ve taken years to unravel {for myself} the whole notion of outgrowing people, places, identities. Outgrowth tends to hold a superior or dominant charge, as it used so freely in colonial thought, as a measurement of achievement — not in the (irremoveable) context of nature. I think we do not outgrow. I think Time does its work. I think that change, which is the constant true state of life, has its way. Because it better. The creation story of the Bushmen says that in the beginning, everything shapeshifted. Every creature, every animal changed its shape naturally all the time. It was the second creation that brought labels and when that happened, a “zebra” forgot how to change into a “fish.” So when we remember we are all things, we fixate not on the change. We move with the present. I’ve been in conversation with folks over the last couple of weeks about prayer. Deep, intentional prayer is far from inaction:: it is the shifting of spacetime in real timespace, no cap. So, this is for those who are called to or are curious about prayer right now. ❤️‍🔥 Have a glass of water a white candle is what I recommend In this collective time of terror, grief and reckoning, (awakening) :: Start with yourself and pray to be a channel of clarity to be strengthened not to be used as a channel of further division or separation Give Gratitude Pray for the energy of division to dissolve and for the illusion of separation to be complete Pray for our collective heart to continue rising and being purified Pray that no fire is in vein, Pray that you, your family, your beloveds, your community and the collective continue to rise in remembrance of our true power. Pray for clarity of your continued role in this moment and movements pray that your ancestors show you how they came through seemingly insurmountable fears. Pray with the waters to help move your grief, pray that the ancestors of your bloodlines help your cells be available to transformation and to hold higher energies of their teachings in your life at this time. I've wandered through the Quarter looking for slave quarters, through Treme listening for stories, down Esplanade searching for plaques mentioning the lives of the largely forgotten. I've met drummers, dancers, and bookstore owners who tell stories about their momma's healing ways. I've been mistaken for Ethiopian, for a fool, and for a bougie type who can't get down. I've washed in the Missisippi, in the rains of Congo Square and been doused in beignet powered sugar.
