Bit of a drizzly day for a comedy festival, but after a shitty week of getting fired and missing mom on what would have been her birthday I wasn't going to let a little rain stop me from seeing @trailerparkboysofficial and @jeremypiven ("YOU ARE THE KIIIIINNNNGGGG!!!") at the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival. Hi all - as some of you may or may not know I recently underwent a double mastectomy last month. What seemed like a lifetime of waiting for this surgery finally arrived and as excited as I was to have it done, it couldn't have come at a worse time financially. I was already struggling before I took the time off work but I thought at least I'd have Employment Insurance to fall back on while I focused on recovery.
Fast forward more than 3 weeks later and EI is still "UNDER REVIEW" and bills are coming up overdue. Instead of getting the rest I need in order to heal I'm losing sleep worrying about paying my rent. 😪
I hate asking for help but I feel like my last resort was to setup a GoFundMe in hopes that I can make some ends meet until I'm able to return to work in March. If anyone is in a position to donate even the smallest amount would be greatly appreciated. Today, at 11:54am, our beautiful Starfish took her last breath and left this realm. As we sat in the van bawling afterwards, the nearby church bells began to ring as if she was signaling to us that she made it safely across the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈 🌥😿😔 Will miss her purrs and cuddles.
