It took a while to find them, but it was pretty special to spend a snowy morning filming red squirrels in Creag Choinnich forest in Braemar earlier in the year! #wildlife #scotland #wildlifecamera

I’ve been really enjoying filming wildlife recently, and spent a really nice morning at the community bird hide in Braemar a couple of months ago.

Over the past 5 years, we’ve worked with the Martin Moran Foundation to capture the real experiences of young people accessing the mountains. Thoughtful, human-led storytelling that reflects both impact and care. Here’s how our partnership has impacted the foundation. #charity #storytelling #outdoors #impact #videoproduction documentary

I’ve been thinking a lot about small businesses recently, and the role they play. I’ve also been thinking about the teams of hugely driven, talented people in those businesses who come to work every day, striving to be the best they can possibly be. Not just in the creative industries, but across the board. The passionate, dedicated team @jhpvisuals has grown into is by far the thing I am most proud of, and I feel privileged to work within that environment every day. We have the privilege of working with so many other talented and driven teams across the country, so I know that we aren’t alone. With all that said, it’s hard to miss the daily news stories about businesses closing, downsizing, or merger deals pulling small independents into big multinationals, losing a lot of that independent culture along the way. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a place for those big teams too. We also work with them all the time, but the service offerings are very different, and there needs to be a space for small teams to grow. I’ve been thinking about my point, and I think it’s two things: 1) We need to come together as a collective and value what small businesses bring to the table, and do what we can to support them. That could be by recommending them when you’ve had a good experience, boosting their profile or buying their services. 2) I also think that now more than ever the opportunities that storytelling provides to authentically communicate messages are huge. At JHP, we see it all the time with the projects we produce; it forms the backbone of our production approach, and I really stand behind it as the most effective way to cut through the noise. On the second point, if you’re interested in exploring your story and how to most effectively get it out to the world, give us a shout - we’d love to hear from you! #Smallbusiness #Creativeindustries #Storytelling

Our production approach is always people first. Why? Because we believe that people are the key to telling real, engaging stories that cut through the noise. In a world of content, real authentic storytelling is the thing that rises to top. From documentaries, to brand stories and commercial pieces, the approach is the same and it works. It’s an approach that’s won us multiple awards and hundreds of thousands of views but more importantly has brought numerous important, heartfelt stories to audiences around the world. Want to tell your story? Get in-touch, we’d love to hear from you! Send us an email through the contact link on our website or in our bio. #Videoproduction #jhpvisuals #videoproductionscotland #commercialvideo
