Waking up at 3:30 for a short but steep hike to watch the sunrise was one of the highlights of the trip. The views of Mt Assiniboine behind Sunburst Peaks with Lake Magog and Sunburst Lake down below was absolutely stunning. The only thing that bugged us were the crazy number of mosquitoes! Epic morning.

Seeing a paddle board cruise along the Mississippi River at sunset makes me feel like I’m vacation. There’s something serene about this boat moseying along with the beautiful trees in the background. I think I counted two people on the boat. Didn’t see anyone inside either. I guess that’s where’re at with this pandemic. I’m getting on that boat next year. The views have to me magnificent. This was taken from the Monument lookout point at the end of Summit Ave in St Paul looking towards Minneapolis. .

Found these monkeys playing on a tree in my neighbors yard. And my Secret Agent Maizie (@secretagentsluluandmaizie ) watched hoping to be petted. One monkey did come down and pet her. She was so happy that she sprinted around the yard with a zoomie.

The Cathedral of St Paul is a building that never fails to grab my attention, and I always try to find unique perspectives while driving around St Paul. Its sheer size is impressive - 306 feet tall and situated on a hill, making it a hard-to-miss landmark. Construction began in 1906, with the first mass held in 1915, and the cathedral was fully completed in 1941.
I still have not been inside but I love everything I see on the outside.

After a long morning of catching the sunrise, we stopped at the Jackson Lake Lodge for breakfast. It’s not a typical looking national parks lodge but the views of the Teton Range once you enter the building is absolutely breathtaking. Caught this gentleman enjoying the view!

Halifax has been on my list of places to see. I first heard about it during 9/11 and the flights that were rerouted there. Then came Come From Away, the musical depicting what it was like during those days. My cousin then moved there. I pictured it to be on the smallish side but it’s a nice size city. The surrounding areas reminded me of our ‘up north’ a little but with more people and houses. It definitely looks like a place you can spend weeks exploring. I wish I had more time.

Sant Joan de Boà is an 11th-century Romanesque church in the Spanish Pyrenees (Lleida), part of the UNESCO World Heritage site representing the Lombard Romanesque style in the Vall de Boi.
