Another one bites the dust thanks to the city art zoning graffiti haters. This one ran about a month (at the most) after being invited to paint it by the new owners Zeppelin Station, yet somehow it still got buffed by the city (from what I was told at the time). Anyway, still a fun day or two with the fellas. Inspiration can come from many things. I often find inspiration from beauty in #thedivinefeminine. Be it someone I had a relationship with or just someone I saw in public (or even from Instagram). It’s been almost 2.5 years but I will never forget the adventures I had in #stlouis for the 2022 @paintlouisofficial for the Paint Louis Graffiti Jam. So much fun despite several torrential downpours, extreme heat and humidity, and the fact that I’m somehow delicious to every type of venomous biting insects of the region (I’m pretty sure I had west Nile or at least Malaria or something) so fun hanging out with some of the homies I had not seen in years, and so many new friends I made! @againstdagrams @_ankor1_ @haspeone @rawb_low @alankets @atomiko etc etc etc… I wish I could post more pics! (Don’t forget to scroll —>) I had a busy couple of weeks in Miami last month for Art Basel/Wynwood Mural Fest, etc. I got to paint a mural at the first ever Museum of Graffiti which needless to say, was a huge honor!! I wrote what I would like to call a blessing on the wall to start the production I painted at the @museumofgraffiti . Really it was to set an intention. I wrote it off the top of my head but it was something like “This mural will be intended as a blessing. Hip hop manifests itself in so many ways, impossible to see all together at one moment. All we can do appreciate it and keep the essence alive for future generations.” Many thanks to @alankets and the whole crew at The Museum of Graffiti for the spot, the opportunity to rock, and for tolerating me being in the way. I’m still not 100% in love with what I painted because I was sort of rushed in the end, so I may be out soon to change some things. I really want to make sure I come correct, I mean, it’s the MUSEUM OF GRAFFITI. I wanna make sure it’s nothing short of amazing. We are all our own worst critic! Anyway it’s a tribute to hip hop’s 50th anniversary, and also to my 30th anniversary of my first piece. The can character which obviously represents graffiti as an element of hip hop is a throwback to my very first piece in 1993. Thanks to @remoteroc for all the hospitality and hooking up the fly collaboration on one of my favorite walls he painted. Thanks to @nicebeats for getting us the spot with @upartstudio and @montanashopmia for all the love. Peace to my crewmates @sauteezy and @porfas_ for rocking with us!
