Six years at The Mayfair are coming to a close, and about 30 of us are moving on. I know every gig eventually wraps, but this one hits harder than most. I really believed the magic we built would last longer.
I got to work with some of the best musicians and artists I’ve ever known. Artists who play with purpose, listen, and genuinely care. As musical director, arranger, Ableton programmer, and multi-instrumentalist, I gave everything I had to keep the room inspired and the music honest. I’m grateful to
@noceilingsent for trusting me from the start.
We survived a pandemic, a Vegas slowdown, and the challenge of performing in a restaurant where not everyone knows what they’re about to experience. But the room stayed full, the energy stayed real, and people kept coming back from all over the world. That’s the power of real musicians playing real music, something people will always crave.
This line of work is a blessing and a curse. It takes a lot and promises nothing. But the friendships, the memories, and the pride I feel in what we created? Worth it.
As for what’s next, I’m staying open. Music will always be part of my life, but so will leading teams, creating shows, and helping projects find their voice. Wherever I land, I’ll bring the same passion.
To everyone I shared this chapter with, thank you. What a ride. Grateful for all of it, and ready for whatever’s ahead.❤️
