️ @theyetifilm ️Filmed on the @atlaslensco Mercury Series!Cinematography: @jfroome“We tested a wide range of lenses for Yeti, knowing early on that we were after a very specific look and set of characteristics while also needing full coverage for the Alexa Mini LF sensor. When we tested the Mercury series, they immediately stood out—but our production schedule coincided with the initial rollout of the B sets, and Expressway rentals in Buffalo only had the A set. We knew we’d need more than just three lenses to shoot the film.The team at Atlas was incredibly supportive in getting the new set to us just ahead of principal photography.We were particularly drawn to the color and character of the flares, as well as the gentle falloff. Because the entire film was shot on a relatively small soundstage with an Alaskan wilderness set so the walls of the studio were right next to our set which we had to avoid seeing, it was essential to have lenses that maintained a nice sharpness wide open while still retaining a pleasing, cinematic quality.
