Today’s TT live with @unmutehumanity and journalists, EMTs, and friends on the ground in Gaza. The occupation has bulldozed many of the cemeteries and turned the majority of Gaza into a ‘no go’ zone. The occupation’s constant unaliving of Palestinians requires them to use each grave many times over. This is what g/cide looks like.

🚨🇵🇸 Despite scarce resources and difficult conditions, civil defense crews rushed to extinguish the fire and rescue civilians following the bombing of a residential apartment in the Al-Mu'taz building, west of Gaza City, moments ago. Scenes of destruction and terror are repeated in Gaza, as residents continue to face death and siege with unbroken steadfastness. ✍️ Journalist activist Abdullah Radwan From Palestine – Gaza City 🇵🇸

🚨🇵🇸 Urgent | An Israeli strike targeted a residential apartment in Al-Mu'taz Building west of Gaza City moments ago, as the war machine continues without pause, claiming the lives of innocent civilians. What is happening is not a real ceasefire, but merely a fake anesthetic injection, while the world continues its silence and deep sleep in the face of Gaza’s ongoing suffering. ✍️ Activist Journalist Abdullah Radwan 📍Gaza City, Palestine 🇵🇸

Get @reshare_app@bni.zubaid2 Contrary to what propaganda tries to make people believe, and what many fools buy into, Sunnism, which is the majority current in Islam, does not belong to, depend on, or get represented by quietists and those who preach passivity in the face of injustice. If you search online or on YouTube to listen to anything related to Sunnism, you come across them. If a young convert wants to learn about Sunnism, he will come across them. No matter how you try to discover Sunnism, you are directed toward them. This particular vision of Islam was exactly what was needed so that, no matter how numerous they are, their passivity would render them harmless. Anyone who adopts this worldview will live in comfort and convince themselves that everything happening in the world is not their responsibility, that there is nothing they can do except improve their own comfort and say a few prayers here and there to ease their conscience. For many of us, who are neither cowards, nor traitors, nor corrupt without dignity or honor, Sunnism stands in complete opposition to this. The Prophet, his family, and his predecessors never taught us passivity in the face of injustice, nor complacency in comfort while our people are oppressed. In contemporary history, from the Algerian struggle where the Islamic roots of the people were the foundation of unity, to Nasser’s Egypt supporting resistance across the region, from Omar al-Mukhtar in Libya to Muhammad Ali and Malcolm X in the United States, Sunnism is Islam, and Islam is justice. And where there is justice to be achieved, there must be revolution. #Sunnism #Quietism #IslamicJustice #MalcolmX #AntiImperialism

On Palestinian Prisoner's Day I don't know what to say in such a situation or at such a time, because I never imagined that one day my younger siblings would be behind bars. When my youngest brother, the youngest of the family, was released and I saw him for the first time, I was overcome with a feeling of weakness and helplessness at my inability to protect them as they used to come to me when they were little, seeking refuge from anyone who wanted to harm them. I stood behind them so they wouldn't get hurt. I stood with them even if they were in the wrong, so they wouldn't feel helpless, like they had no one or support. And today I am the one who feels this helplessness, while my brother is behind bars, a prisoner like the rest of the prisoners. Palestinians A prisoner is not just a number; every prisoner has a story. O God, I ask You by Your Greatest Name, by which if You are invoked, You answer. O God, I entrust my captive brother Ahmed to Your care. My Lord, do not leave me alone, for You are the best of inheritors. O God, return him to me as You returned Jonah from the belly of the whale. O God, grant victory to our imprisoned brothers against the tyranny of the cunning Israeli enemy, for You are the best of planners. #غزة #الأسرى #فلسطين

“Palestinian death has become background noise.” — Fatin @jfphilo / Unmute Humanity She said that on January 17, at Midnight Books @midnightbooksla , where @facesofmassincarceration (Megumi) brought her gallery Faces of Mass Incarceration × Faces of Palestine. The exhibition humanizes people impacted by mass incarceration, and through Faces of Palestine, extends that lens to Palestinians living through genocide. Fatin spoke that night. The video starts with her sharing the unfathomable suffering her people endure under genocide. What it does to you to watch your own people be killed, starved, displaced, bombed, erased in every way a people can be erased. What it takes from you. What it demands of you. We are posting this on March 28 because nothing she said has expired. Israel has killed 17 Palestinians in the last 7 days. The world adjusted. The killing did not stop. Everything she said that night is still true. That is the horror. Gratitude to Megumi @facesofmassincarceration for the depth of her artistic vision and heart. To Gabe from Midnight Books @midnightbooksla for holding space for our community. Immense gratitude for the journalists on the ground, risking everything, whose footage appears in this video: @m.saed.gaza @mahdy_zourob @khames.alrefi @abdallah_naem @abdallahalattarr @sal7h_zz @alaa_hamouda2 @fares.afana @mohammad_salama.2 @mahmoud.z.aliwa Deep gratitude to our contributors—Dr. Mahmoud Basal @mahmoud_basal88 and Mahmoud Al-Ghazi @mahmoud.ghazi84 —for their daily reporting and trust in Unmute Humanity to publish updates from Gaza.
