Such a pleasure to work with such icons of the Gong for
@richielewis debut album, āStraysā, which has just released.
Iāve known Richie vaguely for years now, playing alongside
@tumbleweed_gong with
@thepinheadz on different occasions, namely the
@radbarcafe grand finale.
What an honour it was to hear from him, saying he was interested in recording at The Shed for his debut album.
Richie wanted a fairly raw, real and lofi sound for the record, citing
@steve_bourk ās still unreleased, but amazing debut and
@thepinheadz āThe Mirrorā.
Along with him he brought his band of misfits Steve Oābrien, Natalie de Silva & Matt Houston, and welcomed myself and
@lukeplayer to come along for some fun.
In the record youāll find traces of jangle pop, psychedelia, garage rock, rockabilly, RNR, folk & country.
