สัตว์ (Sut) translates to “animal.”
ไอ้สัตว์ (Ai Sut) is where it changes. it becomes derogatory, like calling someone uncivilized… or dumb as fuck, like an animal.
It depends on the context. Tone, timing, and relationship can completely change meaning.
Thai culture is rooted in respect and hierarchy, so words like this aren’t used lightly. Unless you’re trying to disrespect someone.
But between your homies, “Sut” becomes something else.
It’s funny. It’s also kinda disrespectful, but also really funny.
This guy. My Big Good. ❤️ This screen print was from an old image on an iphone 3. I love it cos he looks so innocent, and he’s a pup here. His feet were all big. I remember my friend, @brianqng , commented on an fb post of this pic that ‘you could tell he’s going to be bug because of his paws,’ - that didn’t happen, he took after me.
.
He’s gonna be 16 in April. He’s still really healthy and super stubborn. I figured I’d make something that I’ll always remember him by. Maybe next print will be a recent, older version of him.

First time screen printing. I had no idea all of the awesome feelings this method brings. A few off the top of my head are pleasure, surprise and joy. There are so many moments in the process of learning where you feel so good about yourself.
I’ve always been interested and curious about what I would try and create, but you know, life and work don’t always allow. It turns out my brain just wanted to learn a simple shape first.
I’m just happy to be in a different world, learning and distancing myself from the noise.
I made a connection later in the evening that the shape was from a book that I’m currently reading. I think I always subconsciously plagiarize. It’s a Noel Gallagher thing.
