after about a year of tennis lessons, i finally played in my first tournament. i was super anxious the day of, thinking, “why did i sign up for this?! 😩” the whole drive to the park. but i’m glad I took the leap—it was all about having fun, competing, and pushing past my comfort zone.
i learned so much about myself, my resilience, and the things want to work on. i won my singles bracket 3-0 and went 1-1 in doubles! woohoo 🎉

i told my son that i was nervous about playing in an intermediate level tennis class (2.6+). he told me to just “try my best” 🥹 so i did just that. i focused on keeping consistent rallies & ball placement.
