I had an opportunity to share some of my work, history, and motivation with fellow artists and enthusiasts at the @oceansidemuseum Artists Alliance. Thank you to all that came out for listening and the follow up conversation.
Worked, over-worked, reworked, and now finished… finally!
Lis Fish no. 1 (24” x 36” acrylic and ink on wood panel).
At its core, this piece reflects on the Fish as both an object and an idea. It is an emblem of freedom, of innovation born from simplicity, and of the dialogue between human craft and natural force. This painting does not depict the board directly, but instead channels its essence; a balance of precision and improvisation, of control and surrender. In this way, the geometry becomes not just form, but a vessel for movement and flow.
