⠀⠀⠀ 🎤 : the first time miss harleen quinzel had been part of the arthur fleck movement was on her way home, walking from the grocery store from her last shift when she was caught in the first ambush riot occurred right outside of her studio apartment. finding herself in the middle of an altercation between a gotham police officer & a masked rioter, harleen had been held at gunpoint by the corrupt officer, used as leverage for the rioter to cease their violence and large weaponry - when she inevitably took the clowned rioter’s side, peaking her interest in the movement & who arthur was.
⠀⠀⠀📸 : harleen becomes enamored with the fleck movement & actually is present for the last showing of the live! with murray franklin. she isn’t able to enter the channel 7 studios but brings her disposable camera and takes a multitude of blurry images of arthur from a distance. in fact she isn’t necessarily part of the movement but she instead watches from the sidelines, completely in awe with the audience and orchestrating arthur inspires.

𝕯I͟͟S͟͟C͟͟L͟͟A͟͟I͟͟M͟͟E͟͟R͟͟:
as her obsession and infatuation with the joker is the ultimate reason for her turning, this writing will be covering her love towards him, but most importantly, highlight the true roots of harley quinn’s transformation. her admiration for the joker that harley has is key to her character development and is needed when exploring this one-shot series. I will not be romanticizing their physically nor mentally abusive relationship.
