Lower the Bar started heavily when the kids were younger and I was doing lots of activities with them. The shift of throwing together an activity in .4 seconds made my life so much easier and more enjoyable!
Now that they’re a little older and we aren’t doing daily activities, we are still heavy on the motto in so many other ways that still make being their mom less performative for the internet and more enjoyable
Kids don’t need “magic”
They need a relaxed parent who isn’t frazzled trying to do the most
So lets collectively take a breath, lower the bar, and enjoy all this without the pressure✨

These are just SOME of the way I lowered the bar this week. Not pictured- mismatched outfits, days with too much screen time, a child who refused to let me brush her hair so she walked around with a rats nest.
