some process BTS from the Honey Mama’s x Girl Scouts collab — probably my most ambitious miniature to date. i’ve actually never made anything like this before and was really…..winging it. every tiny micro-flower was hand-placed, every rock carved and painted with a light dusting of lichen, every riverside fern strategically set. i painstakingly mixed (and almost wasted) a lot of resin trying to get that perfect shimmery blue-green alpine lake color. i scoured the neighborhood for twigs that had that river log star power. i pilfered a ziploc bag of very specific sand out of my neighbor’s driveway to make the little pathway that leads through the mountains. one of the trickiest bits was making the blue canoe in the lake — an easter egg/nod to the blue canoe on the original Thin Mints packaging. it’s a little busted but it does the job (i.e. be cute).
