The Chief features a cored head, flowing into a belly slot, with a top hook hole for perfect rigging every time. Paired with a monster 10/0 @bkkhooks_americas Puka hook. After 2 years of testing, dialing in every detail, and putting it through the absolute ringer offshore…

102” to close out a short season. Heck of a fight. @jesseee_w is a beast. Between ice on the deck, rod failure, having to splice line onto a new set up, it was poetic chaos. Super proud to be a part of this one.
Mid fight the rod collapsed then soon after broke, possibly from the few times the rod slightly made contact with the boat when the fish went vertical.
@jesseee_w calmly said to loosen the drag enough for the fish to take about half the spool while he emptied half the spool on the new set up. We then kept pace with the fish, tied a uni to uni onto the new rod, cut the old line and quickly brought the knot into the spool to finish the fight. It was an amazing thing to witness. Pure genius and super quick thinking by Jesse. He’s the man!!! A day I won’t forget. #tunafishing #desperado #hogyfishing #shimanofishingusa
