Jesse Arnst was born in China and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She is an alumni of Fiorello LaGuardia High School and the Peridance Youth Ensemble. After graduating from George Mason University under the direction of Susan Shields, Jesse continued her studies at Nuova Officina Della Danza, Torino, Italy. She’s had the privilege to present her work internationally and continues to develop her performance art process in New York.

I lack the words to capture you and what you meant to me and those who knew you, Ms. Selsey Kmith. You brought such humor and fun to even the simplest of tasks, your passing leaves me a bit breathless. You listened when I thought I didn't deserve to be heard and your confidence inspired so many.
