i unstuck @elkenmist 's f350 for the 3rd time in 3 visits...hopefully on the next round i can get this thing working well enough to save it from the scrapyard. a rear-wheel drive truck on a very muddy farm is kind of a rough setup. and it's gas, not diesel, so it goes through fuel like it's its job. i kinda wanna IDI swap it...maybe? probably doesn't make a ton of sense, but it sure would be fun :)
i finally finished rebuilding this bike from the rolling frame and several boxes that it came to me in last year...and of course now that i've gotten to take a few passes on it i super super don't wanna sell it 😡

An idle jet is missing from one of the Zenith 35/40 INAT carbs from the Mercedes…they’re totally unavailable, so I made a CAD model of the one I have and sent it to Xometry in hopes they could 3D print me a new one. I couldn’t find a shop that could make one on a lathe for a reasonable price…turns out Xometry couldn’t make it either, but the car is running ok without it and if I find someone with a mini mill or a small lathe who wants to make one of these, I’ll finally replace it.
Even though I didn’t end up getting the part, it was fun getting a little modeling practice :)
