I can’t even put into words the amount of gratitude I have for this journey. Thank you God for ordering my steps with divine intent and purpose.
3 years ago I took a leap of faith.
My family sacrificed everything and moved to California, so I could chase my dreams.
Each year was different. Every one of them accompanied by ups and downs that molded my character. But this year was special.
At the start of the season I injured my foot and sat out for 5 months. It was the longest increment of time away from the game I had ever experienced by far. I longed to hoop again.
However, I remained steadfast in the Lord’s promise:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6
Time passed.
I paid my dues in rehab and I was back.
It took everything… and we got us a championship.
To my team - the bond we built, the connection we had, the love, laughs, smiles, and joy we shared, bring me peace as my high school career comes to an end. Thank you for giving me a purpose outside of myself, within this beautiful game. You will forever hold a special place in my heart.
To my coaching staff and administration thank you for an unwavering support and belief in us.
