Here I am walking out of the @masterchefonfox kitchen on @foxtv for the very last time, finishing in the TOP 5. As I walk out one last time, I walk out with PRIDE and with my head held HIGH! Most people don’t even know that more than 125,000 people auditioned and I made it all the way to the 🌟TOP 5 🌟in the most intense cooking competition there is. First, I would like to thank my new MasterChef family, my fellow contestants, I LOVE ♥️ you all! I would also like to thank the legendary chefs @gordongram , @jbastianich , @chefaaronsanchez and all the other culinary legends who graced the Masterchef kitchen this season. I learned so much about myself during this experience, from the progression of my JerseyStyle family plating to a Michelin Star quality, learning to manage my time, and more importantly, the taking of constructive criticism from the most incredible legendary chef’s on earth. It was an honor to be a part of this competition, from the production team, the contestant handlers, the culinary team and of course my fellow contestants! This past Friday night, we attended the @borntorunwaynj Charity Fashion Show hosted by Danielle Salvo at @theasburyhotel , a beautiful event to benefit @marysplacebythesea . Every woman in that show is either a current fighter or a survivor, radiating strength and beauty. This amazing event was filled with so much love and positivity. It was great to finally be in a social atmosphere after such a trying year. I (Michael) was diagnosed with Melanoma Cancer last March and after multiple surgeries and a visit to the University of Penn, I am grateful to say that I’m currently Cancer Free. Being there, surrounded by these incredible women, was so inspiring. We’re so grateful to be part of this amazing community. It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of my dad, John Fred Newman (Poppi, Uncle Jackie) on Friday May 9th, 2025.
