More footage from my full-length YouTube video documenting a historic multi-alarm fire this past week in Belleville, NJ. Spent hours on scene capturing everything as this turned into a block-wide incident. Even after the main body of fire was knocked, the site continued to smolder while crews worked through demolition and overhaul. Shoutout to all the responding companies from across the state that worked this job. Unreal scene from start to finish.

Probably the craziest fire I’ve ever documented. The thermal on this one tells the whole story—multiple fires burning at once as the main warehouse was fully involved, throwing embers across multiple blocks and igniting additional buildings and homes. This happened yesterday afternoon in Belleville, NJ. What started as a single fire quickly escalated into a massive multi-alarm incident, with a second structure fire sparked blocks away from flying embers. Full 1 hour 45 minute video drops tonight on YouTube. Hats off to all the firefighters who were on scene and continue to work.

Part two from Talladega. Epic day all around — first time being there and definitely an experience of a lifetime. Grateful to have been able to capture it for the @jesse_gerhard_memorial

What an honor this past weekend was down in Talladega, shooting for the @jesse_gerhard_memorial . Leading up to this race, just a few weeks out, @casey917 called me and asked if I was around to possibly shoot it. He told me they had a whole car for the foundation and were going to be racing in the Saturday race in Talladega. I met Casey, Jesse’s brother, via @ihaveshittodo — they were both great friends and FFs in the @thebighouse_farrock on L-134. Unfortunately, Jesse tragically passed in February 2022 after battling a 2nd Alarm fire in Queens. At the time, I was talking with Etan and just started learning more about the fire service. It was a dark time, but I will say I’ve never seen a group of individuals come together like they did for him. Shortly after, Casey started the @jesse_gerhard_memorial , where he raises money in Jesse’s name to help fallen members’ families in times of need. They have done so much to give back over the years — I can’t even list it all here. There’s also a golf outing I’ve been shooting for the foundation the last few years, and I’m truly honored to be a part of something way bigger than me. The men of the Big House have been nothing short of family over the years. This was definitely something I didn’t see coming — to have his name and the names of fallen firefighters on the car — but it’s exactly what had to happen. @harrisonburton12 drove car 24 for @samhuntracing and did a beautiful job, even holding the number one position for a time. Eventually, on the last lap while going for a move, he crashed out. But the day was something I’ll never forget. Unreal, to say the least. Here’s part one of the photos.

Around 3:30AM, Ocean County dispatch sent Station 44 (Seaside Heights) to a reported fully involved structure fire. Upon arrival, Chief 4400 confirmed three homes on fire, quickly upgrading the incident to a third alarm bringing in mutual aid from surrounding departments. One home was fully involved, a second had heavy fire on one side with minor extension, and a third had fire through the top floor and roof. Crews operated multiple handlines and ladder pipes to bring the fire under control and prevent further spread. Injuries are unknown at this time. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Freehold Township, Monmouth County, NJ – Units were dispatched around 9:15 PM to 3548 Route 9 South for reports of a heavy smoke condition. Prior to the arrival of fire units, police confirmed a working structure fire at The Game Room, a commercial business along Route 9. The assignment was quickly upgraded to a box alarm, bringing in multiple mutual aid companies. First-arriving crews stretched handlines and initiated an aggressive interior attack while truck companies laddered the building and prepared for roof operations. Fire was found extending into the roof area as crews worked inside to contain the bulk of the fire. Coordinated interior and roof operations prevented full extension through the roof and stopped the fire from taking the entire building. Multiple handlines were placed into service during the operation. The fire was brought under control in approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. No injuries were reported. The building sustained significant damage and the business is expected to remain closed until further notice. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Full video on YouTube.
