As a politician, I love working for the people of Cork, to make our city and our communities the best they can be. I want to be part of Simon Harris' team in the next Dáil.
I relish the opportunity to be a member of Dáil Éireann and look forward to engaging with as many people as possible over the general election campaign.
I know we need more homes, more childcare places, more Gardaí on our streets, better access to special education and more reliable accessible public transport. I am committed to working on these and other issues.
I want to have a better safer Cork city. That is why I am running for election and asking you for your Number One vote.

🛣️ As a Minister of State in the @dept_transport it was a pleasure to give the closing address at the 2026 Roads Services Training Group (RSTG) Conference in Wexford, which ran over the past two days.
🛣️ The discussions reflected the scale of the challenges facing our transport network — from climate change resilience, to housing delivery pressures and the growing role of AI in road management and infrastructure planning.
🇮🇪 A huge credit to the road and transportation management teams, consultants and contractors across the country who are working every day to modernise and strengthen our infrastructure.
Good policy is important — but delivery on the ground is what makes the difference. The expertise and innovation shared throughout the conference gives me real confidence for the years ahead.
📍 Today, with An Tánaiste @simonharristd I am pleased as Minister @deptrcdg to host Ireland’s first National Philanthropy Awareness Event in the RDS, bringing together over 300 leaders from government, business, charities and communities.
🤝 The event highlighted how philanthropy can work alongside public services to strengthen communities, support innovation and deliver real social and cultural impact across Ireland.
💡 Through inspiring case studies, partnerships and discussions, the event showcased the growing momentum behind the National Philanthropy Policy 2024–2028 and the opportunity to build a stronger culture of giving in Ireland.
🤝 Great to meet with Dr @schonquinlivan and @hugh__ahern today to discuss the expansion of the ‘Key to the EU’ programme in Irish schools.
We had an Important conversation around active citizenship, democratic values and helping young people better understand Europe and civic participation ahead of Ireland’s upcoming EU Presidency. 🇮🇪🇪🇺
Social inclusion is central to the work of Local Community Development Committees (LCDCs)

Did you know? If your child is starting school this year, they can get a free book bag from your local library! 📖🎒
The My Little Library Initiative 2026 is now underway, inviting children finishing pre school and getting ready for primary school to pop into their local library and collect a special My Little Library book bag.
Available since Friday 8 May and throughout the summer, each bag includes lovely books for your child to keep, helpful tips for parents, and a special wallet to help them sign up for their very own library card. Families are warmly encouraged to join the library and make reading part of everyday life.📖
Book bags are available in English and Irish and are specially designed to help children and families make the exciting transition to primary school.
A small bag, a big welcome to learning!
Very invigorating and productive meeting of Cork Development Forum earlier today.
