Today is the ten year anniversary of my mum, Alanah, passing away from Pancreatic Cancer. It’s mad to think it’s been 10 years, I don’t miss her any less than I did but the randomiser emotion filter has stopped being as erratic when I talk or think about her. She was an amazing woman who lived her life selflessly and had the time for everyone. I don’t post about my personal life often, but the reason I am posting today, is partly due to the achievement of my other parent. My dad- who this summer undertook a ridiculous physical challenge of cycling from the west to the east coast of America. He has done so in mums name and every penny of sponsorship is going to Pancreatic Cancer UK to help fund much needed research in to the most ruthless and unforgiving of diseases. Despite coming off his bike and breaking his collar bone, he got back on against all odds and completed the ride. If you can spare the time and money today please go and sponsor him (link in bio). It would mean a lot. ❤️
