The video was shot at the gumball machine located at the @phillyliberationcenter You can find these gumball machines at various locations throughout Philadelphia. Each of them has a poem inside to promote positivity and help those who are struggling with mental health. On the Journey To close out Women's History Month, I'm proud to present our latest project, On the Journey. It is a short film following a woman stressed about the first world problems/negativity we all find ourselves being caught up in during our daily lives. As you follow her journey, she is reminded of what truly matters. We pay homage to Harriet Tubman, an American Hero and resident of the city of Philadelphia as she worked tirelessly to ensure freedom for all. This story is especially personal to me, not because I wrote it and directed it, but because of the message. Often we lose sight of our goals (I know I have at times), but we cannot forget the work that was done to allow us the opportunities we take for granted and the women who've paved the way for us. As a black woman, a business owner, and a filmmaker, I am truly proud of the work we did on this short film, and I am confident you will enjoy it as well.
