Creating with these two humans has been such a special experience. The core of our show is the heart of our friendship, in all its complexity and silliness.
But what I appreciate more than anything, is how we create around
each other’s needs and limitations .
This show was designed around an injury of mine. We prioritized my safety and ability as equally as anything else. It didn’t limit the art, it expanded it. Experiencing that way of collaborating has shaped the art I have made with others in the most beautiful ways.
Some of the ways I used to push myself, to believe circus had to look a certain way… I can’t imagine ever subscribing to again. And they were all in my head anyways 😂
I feel so grateful and excited for the reunion of this show. Being apart has been tart for the heart, this remount is going to be so juicy! 🍋🍋🍋
