For a long time, this space reflected my life as a floral designer.
And if you’ve been here for a while, you know how much that chapter meant to me.
But over time, something became clear.
Talent only got me so far. What kept me at the top of my game for decades was my constant drive to raise the bar on efficiency, profitability, and building a business that supported the life I wanted.
That’s what I want for every creative business owner.
Because talent is not enough..
You have to learn how to lead your business and run it with intention.
Most people were never shown how to do that.
That’s the work I do now.
I help creative business owners take control, make better decisions, and run their business so it doesn’t run them.
If that’s what you’re working toward, you’re in the right place.

I make Wedding Pros money. Not by pushing higher prices. And not by copying someone else’s business model.
I do it by fixing what’s unclear in their business and the expensive habits that cost them time, energy, and profit.
Things like:
• Clients understand your offers quickly, so booking happens sooner • Pricing and scope are clear, so profits stay with you • Pre-qualification gets tighter, so time isn’t wasted on the wrong inquiries • Communication becomes consistent and intentional, so clients are guided without constant clarification • Systems get simpler, so that you’re not redoing, over-customizing, or second-guessing
The results: Faster bookings. Cleaner margins. Less stress. More control over your business, by your rules.
Every client I work with needs something different. My job is to spot the gaps quickly and give clear, doable steps to close them.
Time saved. Energy protected. Decisions made once.
That’s where the money is.

Hi, I’m Jeri.
Last year, I closed my floral design business. Not because I fell out of love with the industry, but because I was ready to step fully into work that had been calling me for a long time.
Today, I work with wedding professionals and floral designers who are exceptional at their craft and know they want more from their business. More clarity. More stability. More confidence in their decisions.
They are not looking for quick fixes or hype. They want a steady sounding board. A problem solver. Someone who can guide them to see what is actually happening in their business and change it.
My work starts with mindset. Because how you see yourself as a business owner shapes every decision you make.
From there, we build systems and choose tools designed to fit how you think and work. No more reacting, reinventing, or holding everything together by sheer willpower.
I do this through: • 1:1 consulting and coaching • working with teams behind the scenes • my course, Lead the Client, Land the Wedding • and speaking engagements within the event industry
Here’s the most important part. I work with people who are willing to feel uncomfortable in order to grow.
Not people who stay stuck and complain about it. People who take responsibility, make changes, and lead their business differently.
I love this industry. The creativity, the generosity, the care that goes into the work. And I am deeply invested in helping thoughtful professionals build businesses that work for them, their teams, and their clients.
If this resonates, you are in the right place.
And if you feel that quiet stirring, the sense that it is time to do things differently, DM LEVEL UP and I will send you a link to my calendar.

If you’ve been in business for a while, you’ve heard the “Now what?” in your head.
Sometimes it sounds like:
I can’t keep working this way. I know something needs to change, but I don’t know what. I’m busy, but I’m not sure I’m building the business I actually want. The thing that used to work isn’t working anymore. I’ve outgrown parts of my business, but I haven’t figured out what comes next.
It might be internal.
A new phase of life. A shift in energy. A different relationship with time, money, family, or priorities.
Or it might be external.
Your systems are clunky. Your offers need refining. Your clients need more guidance. Your pricing needs a closer look.
That “Now what?” feeling is usually the beginning of the next right move.
If you’re willing to stop long enough to answer it.
Most business owners try to push through, outwork it, or figure it all out alone.
That’s exactly what my Business Review is for.
We look at where your business is now, where the friction is, what’s working, what’s costing you time or money, and what needs to shift next.
Not a whole reinvention.
Just a clear, grounded look at the business you’ve built, what needs to change, and how it can better support the life you’re living now.

Every point in your client journey is doing one of two things:
Building trust. Or creating friction.
It’s the quick reply that tells them what happens next. The clear proposal that matches the conversation. The contract that explains the scope before there’s confusion. The follow-up that reassures them they haven’t been forgotten. The delivery that matches what you said you would do.
That’s what makes a client feel taken care of.
Friction shows up when the next step is unclear. When the client has to chase you. When expectations were never fully explained. When you over-promise, under-deliver, or leave too much open to interpretation.
Most clients won’t call it friction. They’ll call it
Feeling unsure. Needing to think about it. Going in a different direction.
A clear, consistent client journey doesn’t just make you look more professional.
It makes people feel
Safe. Seen. Guided. Taken care of.
This is where trust is built.
Your clients probably won’t tell you where the friction is.
They’ll just feel it and move on.
Comment PEARLS and I’ll send you a few places to look.

I went to Florence fully expecting to be wowed by the obvious things.
The Duomo
The David
The Arno
The leather
The pasta
The gelato.
And I was.
But what do I keep thinking about?
The wisteria at peak bloom at Bardini Gardens.
Unexpected.
Immersive
Unforgettable.
That’s how client experience works too.
Your clients expect you to be good at what you do. They expect you to be professional.
They expect the work to be beautiful, thoughtful, polished, or well-executed.
That’s the baseline.
What they remember is often the unexpected moment that made them feel cared for.
The clear email before they had to ask. The calm guidance when they were overwhelmed. The small detail that told them you were paying attention.
That’s what stays with people.
And in a service-based business, what stays with people is what builds trust, referrals, and loyalty.
Follow along for practical perspective on building a business people trust and remember.

If you work with people, hospitality is part of the job.
Not just for event pros. Healthcare. Financial services. Contractors. Landscapers. Any business with a service component.
Being good at what you do is expected. How people feel when they interact with you, separates you from the masses.
That matters for the bottom line. It also matters because more care, calm, and kindness in the world is needed. Now more than ever.
Tell me about a time you felt truly taken care of.

Rome wasn’t built in a day.
And the business you actually want won’t be either.
I see you building and refining. Changing how you work. Making better decisions. Learning what kind of owner you want to be.
It never happens fast enough.
Strong businesses are built layer by layer.
One clearer process. One better boundary. One more thoughtful client experience. One braver decision. One moment when you realize you feel a little more confident.
It’s a marathon. Not a sprint.
You’re building more than a business.
You’re building how people experience you, what they trust you for, and what you’ll be known for.
Keep going.
Send this to a service-based business owner who needs the reminder.

As creatives, we naturally gravitate toward the things that feel exciting, beautiful, or immediately rewarding.
And as humans, we’re very good at making those things feel urgent.
But in business, the work that actually moves you forward is often quieter and less compelling. Following up. Looking at your numbers. Fixing the process. Writing the email. Making the plan. Taking the next small step on something that will pay off later, not today.
That’s where focus comes in.
Because building a business is not just about responding to what is right in front of you. It’s also about keeping your eyes on the long game.
Marathon mindset.
Not every important task gives you an instant reward. Not every meaningful step feels thrilling in the moment.
But small steps, taken consistently in the right direction, are what build momentum over time.
Focus is what helps you keep going long enough to get where you actually want to go.
What in your business needs more of your focus right now?

I’ve been practicing yoga for 25 years.
And one of the biggest things it has taught me, both on the mat and in business, is this:
The gains are not immediate.
You do not get stronger, steadier, or more skilled from doing something once in a while. You get there by repetition.
Doing the reps. Consistently.
By getting on the mat. By showing up. By staying with it long enough for the practice to change you.
Business works the same way.
You do not build confidence, systems, profit, or momentum from one good day or one burst of effort. You build it by doing the things that matter over and over, even when they are not your favorite.
Especially then.
That’s often where people get stuck. Not because the work is impossible. Because it asks for consistency.
That’s where I come in.
Sometimes you need someone to help you stay with the things that are necessary, even when they are not the things you naturally want to do.
What’s one area of your business that would change if you were more consistent with it?
#ConsistencyInBusiness #CreativeBusinessOwner #SmallBusinessGrowth #EntrepreneurMindset #BusinessDiscipline
People notice talent first. That’s what prompts the inquiry.
But they remember you, and often book you, for how you made them feel.
Did they feel heard? Did they feel guided? Did they know what to expect? Did they feel reassured when they were making decisions? Did they feel like you were one step ahead?
That is client experience.
And it wins the job more than a lot of creative business owners want to admit.
Beautiful work without a strong experience can still leave people feeling unsure, or questioning whether you’re the right fit.
When people feel taken care of, trust grows. Confidence grows. Loyalty grows.
This is about leading your client.
How are you making your clients feel?

Some of my most cherished relationships started as industry connections.
They are not “just” friends.
I’m a natural networker. I’m genuinely interested in people.
So in the beginning, networking was about getting to know people, learning what they did, and figuring out how I could support them and their business. I showed up consistently. I went to events. I stayed connected.
That’s business development. With wine.
Over time, those relationships became incredibly valuable in business.
People referred me, vouched for me, shared opportunities, had my back, and understood the work in ways few others could.
And then, they became My People. My peeps. My ride-or-die’s.
The ones who understand that Saturday is for work, but will stay out late on a Tuesday because wasn’t it just 9 o’clock five minutes ago?
The ones who take the midnight call or the pre-dawn text because they know you need them.
The ones who send a random “virtual hug” message on the exact day you need it.
The ones who jump in when your staff calls out and you’re in a bind. The ones who don’t need a long explanation because they already get it.
Networking is one of those business concepts that people resist. Do it anyway.
The return is not always immediate. But the value of these relationships grows over time. And if you’re lucky, some of the people you meet along the way become part of the fabric of your life.
Who are the industry people you’re grateful for?
