Cordillera Mountain Ultra 21km
FINALLY DID THIS RUN AFTER SO LONG. 😭😭😭
Finished the race in around four hours and twenty/thirty mins. Idk anymore. Basta better than I expected at sobrang saya. Really glad I got to do it with friends.
Beautiful route and views. Stopped and said "wow" in Owen Wilson's voice so many times. Also "ang galing ni god." dun sa isang sunrise view.
Ngl the 13km ascent was difficult. And the last 8km of bombing downhill hurt my knees and feet I thought I got dead toenails 💀 (I didnt).
Anyway, a dream come true. ✨️
Thank you @cordilleramountainultra and @jpalipio for this event.
Salamat din @ezrc.launion for adopting me today!!
"Jeric akala ko ba chill lang?"
Since I'm in no condition to reach my 21km trail run time goal of 4 hrs flat at CMU this year, I'm focusing on climbing.
Posting one of my best attempts at the route Angasan in Ambongdolan for accountability and motivation to just do the work and finally take climbing seriously again after so long.
Training for 2024 bouldering season starts soon. But also wouldn't mind to sneak in some lead climbing sessions too. Let's gooooo⚡️ #MayAsimPa

First time since the pandemic to watch the sun rise from the horizon, to feel the fear and excitement of surfing a new spot, to go through a storm on a boat, and to feel momentum on my surf progress... Also my first time to be bothered by jelly fish stings since my 2018 incident with a blue bottle jellyfish.
I'm so glad we got to surf good waves in May and so close to my birthday. And I'm just really glad for all the fun times (and food) during this trip. Wow. I love surfing again.

Adjustment to having a puppy is going well. I now have time to ease back into my routines and hobbies and hangout with friends and family. Maybe next month I can finally get a haircut. Some crashouts happened along the way but we can't not expect that. What are crashouts but insanity persevering? Jk.
I'm now on my 4th year of being a full time designer. Busier than ever but very glad and proud of the work we do and the clients we have.Thank you for all the support 🙏😭
Call me Boy Abundant the way I have all of you and these things in my life rn. Mwa.

Ayan ha nasa harapan na thirst trap. Di niyo na kakalkalin pa. Ganiyan kayo e.
So much time in January. Been going out more (and at night) and surprised a handful of friends. Tanging bisyo at luho ko na lang naman sa buhay ay mapagod at tumambay.

Luv u Nugget. Thank you for fixing my schedule and setting my priorities straight.
Year end surf in my favorite place.
Saw so many friends to the point where I said "am I in Powerplant??" Anyway, I'm always glad to be around friends and meet new ones.
Found more food and places to add to my list. Learned about wood and tree species during a birthday party. And surfed my heart out despite worrying about my new tattoo (it's doing great).
What a fun way to end the year and leave with some clarity.
Bangkok (and a bit more from Khon Kaen) 🇹🇭
First time traveling abroad with friends. But if I'm being honest this is also the first time I'm hanging out with maybe 90% of the people I came here with. And we spent a week together lol. Also saw other friends who were visiting! Mr. Congeniality siya ih.
Sport Climbing in SEA Games was fun to watch (shout out to the DJ during the comp). I still haven't regained my voice. If I can watch every IFSC, Olympic, and SEA Games climbing comp in person, I would.
Anyway, Thailand was great. Food, people, design, coffee, drinks (do not get me started on their orange juice), and infrastructure. To quote a friend "It's Manila but gay. And made right decisions." Can you believe they didn't have any of these public infrastructure 30 years ago??

Gusto ko yung international na ang pagiging kaladkarin ko. Good job tayo diyan.
Bouldering in Khon Kaen, Thailand 🇹🇭
I did not prepare for this trip at all. No training, no itinerary. Just "sama ka nuod tayo SEA Games tapos climb na rin tayo."
"Ah ok. Game."
24 hour transit due to delays and rebookings was light thanks to great company (and food). Had no idea Khon Kaen had so many great food choices too. Maybe I'll write about it in another post. But my Google map lists are also free to share.
Anyway... Sandstone hurts. Will I train for the next time? Probably not. But I'm sure I'll have loads of fun again.
Took the gym a wee bit too seriously and borrowed too many of my dad's shirts and pants lately. Just glad things are turning up... Like my new room layout!
