Nigeria Nicer.
The intention of this not-for-profit project is to share music that is too good to be lost, and serve as a reminder that music is infinite and will outlive us all. Nigerian music in the 1980s and 90s mirrored popular trends in the West but always stayed rooted in African musical traditions - subtly in the details of a slick disco production, or more obviously in Digi Highlife.... just because it sounds like Janet Jackson, Boyz II Men, or New Edition doesn’t mean it’s not thoroughly and uniquely African. All proceeds will be donated to the @bisialimifoundation which advocates for the rights and dignity of LGBT people in Nigeria.
TECHNICAL DETAILS & CREDITS: Nigeria Nicer is a 29-page music zine featuring write-ups about rare and out of print Nigerian music, printed as a high-quality risograph by @tinysplendor in LA. The zine includes a free 70-minute mixtape of the featured tracks, recorded by Moman at The ZineLab in Honolulu, Hawai'i to a high-end Tanberg cassette deck, and dubbed to the best quality Chrome Type 2 high bias cassettes available. Many thanks to all the collaborators, early listeners, and constant supporters of these projects!!🙏

After a long hiatus, @laurentfaker and I are back with a new drop of graphic tees expressing our passion for film.
Having spent the past two years at home had both of us watching A LOT of movies in our free time. Heavily inspired by three specific movies that caught our interest, the drop was designed to inspire other film lovers to spend some time this discovering new films they might not otherwise have heard of.

Introducing Pies&Pints, a monthly(ish) project with @heyjed where we make handcrafted pizza and homemade ice cream pints in our backyard. All made using only the good stuff. With rotating flavors and pies based on what we think sounds super delicious.

New Painting Series.
As I’ve been exploring the idea of magnifying various cultural artifacts, I became obsessed with signatures and their aesthetic qualities.
Those signatures are always put on canvas once a painting is done, or at the end of a letter. Their purpose is to indicate authorship, but once they are extracted from their context their meaning shifts to become as iconic and meaningful as the painting itself. The signature itself can become a standalone piece of art.
With the modern commodification of art as a luxury object, some signatures have became brand names in of themselves. While I love the graphic nature of these, I want to put a highlight on more obscure names in the hope that I can help people discover new artists and art that I find meaningful.
