Let’s talk styling for a second. A professional stylist—like the incredible @jenstraus can take a shoot from good to unforgettable. Styling isn’t just an afterthought; it’s a game changer and can be the difference between a one time gig and a client who keeps coming back.
When bidding on a shoot, always consider bringing in a stylist if the budget allows. The time, ease, and refined touch they bring to the set are so worth it. Case in point: this shot was the very last one of the day, and in just 15 minutes, Jen created something that would have taken me hours (if I could have pulled it off at all!).

Sometimes, the perfect shot takes more than one attempt—especially when you’re chasing that crisp pour and the delicate fizz of a carbonated beverage. But after a few tries (and a lot of ice cubes later), we finally captured the exact moment we envisioned.

This might just be one of my best shots yet. Another incredible image from my shoot with @jenstraus —this one was both technically challenging and a blast to capture.
Using @profoto lights in freeze mode, We were able to catch every crisp detail of the lemon zest in midair, while two additional lights perfectly highlighted the glass. The result? A dynamic, high-impact shot that’s definitely earning a spot on my website. More from this shoot coming soon!
