May 2nd, I stood on stage emceeing the 30th anniversary of EO Detroit… helping tell the story of a chapter that has meant so much to so many of us. A room full of entrepreneurs. Builders. Dreamers. People who quietly carried this community for 30 years. There was something really beautiful about looking out into that room and feeling the history in it. Still sitting with this one. More to come ❤️ @eodetroit @entrepreneursorg

Motherhood changed everything. As a young girl arriving in Detroit from the Soviet Union, I watched my mother rebuild a life from nothing but courage, grit, and sacrifice. I didn’t understand it then, but I carry her strength with me every single day now. And now somehow… I get to be the mother. To Ethan, you made me a mom first and cracked my heart open in the most beautiful way. To the twins, you brought chaos, laughter, surrender, and a whole new level of love into our home. And to Raisa, thank you for building this beautiful life with me. For carrying the weight with me. For the sleepless nights, the endless logistics, the teamwork, the patience, the sacrifices, and the love that exists behind the scenes of raising a family. None of this happens alone. Motherhood is exhausting and sacred. Humbling and beautiful. Loud and deeply meaningful. Today I’m just grateful. For my mother. For my children. For this beautiful circus we built together. @directorraisa Happy Mother’s Day 🤍

Jenny Feterovich @jennyfeter wrote something about Loving Conflict that I can't stop thinking about. "I have used her tools in my marriage, my friendships, my leadership, and in the moments where everything felt on the line." Jenny produces television and leads growth across an entire region of Entrepreneurs' Organization. She makes things happen. And she's telling me she used this work when everything felt on the line. Jenny, that is the most meaningful thing anyone has said about this book. Not that it was interesting. Not that it was well-written. That you used it when it mattered most. I'm grateful beyond words. My book Loving Conflict: Creating Collaboration Where Others See Division, an Amazon Best Seller and #1 New Release in Business Conflict Resolution & Mediation. Link to the book is in bio. #lovingconflict #entrepreneurship #relationships

Some of the greatest gifts in my life are these women. Last week we worked, we created, we showed up for each other… and we felt everything. They held me when I needed it. They reminded me who I am when I forgot for a moment. They celebrate me, challenge me, and see me in a way that not many people do. And Watching their brilliance in the rooms we’re in… it’s unreal. I love you both more than you know. Thank you @entrepreneursorg for creating space for these types of connections.

April 1st, middle of COVID… I shaved my head. Not because I was going through something. Not trying to find myself. I’d just always wondered what it would feel like… so I did it. And then my phone blew up. “So much courage.” “I could never do that.” “You’re so brave.” And I remember laughing a little… for what? It’s just hair. It grows back. But it was interesting to see how many people felt like they couldn’t do it. Especially women. Like some much of our identity is somehow tied to it. For me, it felt light. Like a quiet kind of renewal. Nothing dramatic. Just… less. Still think about that sometimes. How much of what we hold onto is actually necessary… and how much is just habit. “Sometimes you have to lose what you thought you were to become what you are.”

Today my friend Anna’s book Loving Conflict is out in the world. And I keep thinking about how much she has changed my life. She didn’t just teach me how to handle conflict. She taught me how to stay. How to listen when it’s uncomfortable. How to not run when things get hard. How to choose connection over being right. And if you know me… you know how big that is. I have used her work in my relationships, in my leadership, in my everyday life. And I’m still learning. Still practicing. This book is her heart. And I know it’s going to help so many people. If this speaks to you, go support her. Link in comments. Anna, I love you. I am so proud of you 🤍 @anyalecat

This weekend was very hard. We said goodbye to Joe. And then we gathered to celebrate him. All I keep hearing is one thing. “I got you.” I’ve always said that’s my love language. But this weekend, I saw what it really means. He lived it. And we gave it back. 🤍
