Colman Domingo and Marco Calvani are making queer love look like exactly what it is — ordinary, extraordinary, and built to last.
The stars of Netflix’s ‘The Four Seasons’ are our Pride cover stars, and they have a lot to say about Danny and Claude. Both actors understand why the image of two men comfortable in their queerness still has the power to change a queer young person somewhere.
“There are children out there who are probably terrified right now, who live in isolated areas with plenty of homophobic people around them, but still there’s Netflix on their TVs. And if they see us loving, holding hands, being confident in our queerness, no matter how it looks…they [will] know that one day, they can be happy. And they will start feeling alive again and probably hopeful,” Calvani tells Out.
“I know the image of Marco and I on a cover says a lot, whether people want to unpack that or not,” Domingo says.
Read our newest cover story, at the link in our bio, for more on telling this story in the current climate, why playing husbands came naturally to them, and what’s ahead on season 2 of ‘The Four Seasons.’
