The number one thing I tell every client right now? You’re not just making content for people anymore. You’re making it for robots too. And if you’re not on LinkedIn? AI can’t find you. LinkedIn is the #2 source feeding AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini with information. Every post you write gets indexed and surfaced to people searching with AI right now. This is why I’m obsessed with Social Search Optimization (SSO) — making your content searchable, not just scrollable. Here’s what that looks like: āœ… Write keyword-rich captions āœ… Caption every video (most content is watched on mute) āœ… Post consistently āœ… Use words your audience is actually searching for The creators winning right now aren’t just chasing likes. They’re building content libraries that work while they sleep. This is a huge part of what we focus on in my VIP Video Days — creating clips that don’t just look good, but actually get found. Your content should work for humans AND robots. šŸ¤– Are you optimizing for both? Let me know in the comments šŸ‘‡ #SocialSearchOptimization #ContentStrategy #AIMarketing #VideoMarketing VIPVideoDay

Work is broken. And everyone knows it. COVID cracked the foundation. AI is finishing the job. We went home in 2020 and realized — wait. I'm just as productive in my kitchen. And I don't miss the commute. Or the politics. Or the 6 hours of meetings. Then AI showed up and started doing the tactical stuff. The stuff we were hired to do. So now everyone is asking the same question: What exactly is work supposed to look like now? Remote work was the first answer. Consulting was the second. Freelancing was the third. But there's a name I keep hearing everywhere right now. Fractional. I sat down with John Arms, the "Godfather of Fractional" this week at the PodcastCrew studio in Robbinsdale — thanks to William McLeod and the team for the great space and full episode production — and he broke it down simply: Full-time right now is hard. Freelancing is unpredictable. Fractional is the sweet spot. Permanent part-time. Embedded with a client long-term as their expert. Stable income. Work in your zone of genius. No 40-hour weeks. Most solopreneurs I know are already doing this. They just don't know it has a name yet. The old model wasn't built for us. Maybe this one is. Podcast Clip Created & Edited by Yours Truly at Red Thread Studio MN šŸŽ§ Full episode is live on The Optimization Toolbox. / Best place to watch or listen is my Substack — full YouTube video, show notes, and every episode in one place.

If you’ve been trying to get organized in Notion for years and it never sticks… this is for you. Last week at both Minnebar + the AI Summit, I kept hearing the same thing after my talks: ā€œOkay but… how do I actually use Notion + Claude when my brain is chaotic?ā€ So I built the thing I wish existed. Notion + Claude for ADHD Brains — the first of a new monthly, live Zoom workshop where we build a system your brain will actually use. No perfection. No ā€œsecond brainā€ pressure. Just practical workflows that reduce overwhelm. Here’s what we’re doing together: → Turn brain dumps into a plan you can execute (without getting stuck) → Build a content hub Claude can read + help you use → Use Claude to pick ā€œtoday’s prioritiesā€ based on your real priorities Hands-on. Real examples. Bring your mess. First session: Tuesday, May 13 @ 12PM CST. Just $10 to join. /u319x0l5 or link in bio Want to come to future sessions? join my Substack for $5/month and get access as part of the membership.

Notion finally has tabs — and I built a whole template around it šŸ—‚ļø If you’ve been opening Notion and immediately feeling overwhelmed, it’s not you. It’s the navigation. Most dashboards aren’t built for an ADHD brain. TabStack is my new Notion template that uses Notion’s brand new tabs feature to keep everything organized in one place — no more clicking around, losing your place, or giving up. ✨ Your content. Your systems. Your strategy. All tabbed. All findable. Watch the full walkthrough on my YouTube channel (link in bio) and grab the template there too. šŸ—“ļø Want to go deeper? I’m hosting a live workshop on May 13th — link in bio. šŸ“© And for weekly Notion tips, templates, and systems — come find me on Substack. #NotionTemplate #ADHDProductivity #NotionTips #ProductivityTools #SolopreneurLife

Notion has been a major part of my life for the last 5 years… and this week is one of those ā€œfull circleā€ moments. Yesterday, I got to teach at the AI Summit—huge thank you for inviting me to share this with small business owners. My whole message was simple: you don’t need 10 apps… you need one home base + one thinking partner. For me, that’s Notion (the home base) + Claude (the thinking partner)—and the vibe on Claude lately is REAL. And this Saturday, I’m speaking at Minnebar (!!!) about Notion + Notion AI. And in May, I’m hosting a Zoom workshop where I’ll walk you through the exact setup (and answer questions live). Link on my substack If you’re newer here: I’m a Notion Ambassador, and I build ADHD-friendly systems for business owners who feel like their brain has 47 tabs open. #Notion #NotionAI #ClaudeAI #NotionAmbassador

I’ve been teaching Notion for 5 years online on my YouTube Channel as an official Notion Ambassador. And next week, I’m finally bringing it in person. Two events. Two very different takes on how Notion (and AI) can actually change how you work. First up — the AI Summit with ConnectUP! Institute this Wednesday. It’s a paid full-day event, and my talk is all about using Notion, Notion AI, and Claude to reclaim your time. Real workflows. Real systems. Nothing abstract. /aisummit/ Then Saturday May 2nd, I’m at Minnebar at Best Buy HQ — and this one is FREE. My talk is called ā€œEscaping the Screenshot Graveyard.ā€ For everyone who saves things constantly and finds them... never. We’re turning that chaos into a Notion knowledge base you’ll actually use. (If you are coming make sure to vote for my session!) Tix: /minnebar/ Vote: /home So many of you have asked me to teach Notion in person over the years. As a Notion Ambassador, it’s kind of my thing — but I’ve kept most of it online. These two talks are the first time I’m really bringing it to a room. If you’re in the Twin Cities, I’d love to see you there. Let me know in the comments if you are going to either!

There’s been a lot of discussion and debates on my Tiktok FYP about whether influencers should flock to Minnesota State Fair and have brand experiences here like Coachella I feel like I had to weigh on this conversation The Minnesota State Fair has an influencer program — and most brands in Minnesota still don’t. I talked to their social media manager last year and learned they spend months preparing, vetting, and bringing in local creators every single year. Not a brand deal. The fair itself is doing this. If the State Fair figured it out, your business can too. The Twin Cities has incredible local influencers who want to work with local brands — we just need more brands to show up. If you’re a Minnesota influencer or a local brand ready to make those connections, there’s an event next Wednesday at Mystic Lake called Influencer Fest. Link in bio to learn more about local events happening every month for business owners, content creators and more! / #minnesota #mninfluencer #mnstatefair #localbusiness #influencermarketing

Clips are not the leftovers anymore. They are the front door. The first impression. The thing people actually see before they ever decide to go deeper. A podcast like The Basement Yard is the perfect example. Yes, they have a long-form show. But for a lot of people, the relationship starts with the clips that come across their feed. They may not listen to the entire podcast episode. They may not watch the full YouTube video. They may not read the long-form post. But they will stop for one clip that makes them think: ā€œWait… I needed to hear that.ā€ And when that happens again and again? They start recognizing your voice. They start trusting your perspective. They start remembering you when they need the thing you offer. That is the real power of short-form video. It does not demand a huge time commitment upfront. It builds trust in small, repeatable moments. And those moments compound. This is exactly why I created my VIP Video Day. In one day, we film the core ideas, stories, and expertise already sitting in your brain — then turn them into a strategic clip library you can use across your content. Because the goal is not just to ā€œmake videos.ā€ The goal is to create enough useful, recognizable moments that your audience starts to feel like they already know you. That is what sells the ticket. That is what books the call. That is what builds the brand. If you want help turning your ideas into short-form video that actually builds trust, book a call in my link in bio. Long-form builds depth. Short-form builds demand.
