Update from @supeskates ‼️NO-LONGER-IN-THE-HOSPITAL UPDATE‼️ Last night was my first night not in the hospital in a while, and…it was something. This morning, Angelica and I navigated the Howard University area of DC to go to Whole Foods to pick up some stuff. I’d never been to a WF, so that was cool. I also maneuvered myself around the streets and through the store on my own. I have to say, I was pretty impressed with myself. However…whatever upper body strength I lost in the hospital will be quickly regained in the use of the wheelchair. A and I are trying to remain on schedule with my meds. She gets to give me an injection every day, which I’m very excited about. 😐 Here’s a photo from our city adventure. This ain’t over, folks. It’s just, like…the next book in the “How I Completely Screwed My Summer Vacation” series. This is just a whole new set of challenges and suckdom to be faced and overcome. And, as much as I hate to say it, we still your support. We still have a TON of stuff left to do in the next 30-ish days to complete our move from MD to Sam Francisco. ANY help you can provide is much more that we don’t need to worry about anymore. Cuz there’s more than enough of that. Big update from @supeskates on his recovery. And mildly NSFW image, I’ve blurred it a little, but look at the AMAZING work the surgical teams did. It’s art. And it’s healing amazing! Fingers crossed. While rehabilitation will still be a long process, we may finally get him out of the hospital and WAY before what they had anticipated. I know that a lot of this is because John has been very physically active and fit his whole life, I cannot even imagine how it would have been otherwise.
