For the past eight years, we’ve been pushing Surinamese artists and the Surinamese sound🇸🇷 to new heights. We saw the vision early and played our part in helping build this movement and taking it further.
That’s why we’re proud to see the sound grow, reach more people, and get the recognition it deserves. We’re proud to contribute to that in our own way. A sold-out Paradiso with one of Suriname’s biggest artists is a powerful reminder of how far this journey has come. Raw. From the ground up to the top.

In het Startwell gebouw, naast de Mc Drive (Bullewijk) huurt @prospect_eleven de 5e etage en verhuurt deze weer door aan jonge ondernemers.
Eén van de ruimtes van 26 of 31 m2 bieden wij huur vrij aan, aan een ondernemers of collectief uit Amsterdam Zuidoost, die deze ruimte hard kan gebruiken.
Je ontvangt een overeenkomst tot 1 Oktober 2026, hierin staat de huur op €0.00 en betaal je €3 per m2 p/mnd aan service kosten.
Wil jij hiervoor in aanmerking komen, stuur ons je informatie, waaruit wij kunnen halen wie je bent en wat je doet.
Eind Maart maken wij bekend, die de ruimte gekregen heeft.
Geef de Surinaamse sound en haar artiesten het podium dat ze verdienen🙏🏿🇸🇷.
Afgelopen december reikten Gowtu en Paradiso in Suriname een award uit aan Psycho voor zijn uitverkochte show in @paradisoadam . Een moment van erkenning en vooral bevestiging.
Surinaamse artiesten zijn niet zomaar “on the rise”. Dit is het resultaat van jaren bouwen. Gowtu zet zich al 8 jaar in om deze sound een podium te geven, ook toen niemand keek.
De muziek is er. Het publiek is er.
Nu het podium nog groter! Dit is geen hype. Dit is cultuur.

Last December, Gowtu presented an award in Suriname to Psycho for his sold out show at Paradiso. A moment of recognition and more importantly, confirmation.
Surinamese artists aren’t just “on the rise.”
This is the result of years of building.
For 8 years, Gowtu has been creating space for this sound, even when no one was watching.
The music is here.
The audience is here.
Now the stage needs to be bigger.
This isn’t a hype.
This is culture.
Geland in Suriname en wij werden opgehaald door niemand minder dan de crew van Lemon Vybez , Business in Style & Zonneman 🙌.
We waren hier om te vieren, te verbinden en te bouwen. Van het mee promoten van het concert van Kater Kamer powered by lemon vybez op 29 december, de Gowtu x Krooiwater NL Tourbus (sold out), tot een podium op het bekende Owru Yari Fest samen met Vunzige Deuntjes op 31 december in de binnenstad van Paramaribo. Zo hebben wij deze december onze aanwezigheid in Suriname goed neergezet.
Werken aan en investeren in de band tussen Suriname en Nederland was voor ons van groot belang 🙏🏿🌎.
Suriname Grantangi! We hebben gefeest, gevierd, samen gelachen, gegeten en gedronken. Het voelde fijn om
weer thuis te zijn❤️🇸🇷.

What a year it has been.
It’s impossible to ignore the sound of Suriname🇸🇷 is everywhere. What started as a platform to give the sound of Su a stage has grown into a full cultural takeover. And Gowtu stands right at the heart of that movement.
Massive thanks to all our partners, and to everyone who’s worked tirelessly, both in front of and behind the scenes, to take it to this level.

De Surinaamse artiest @psycho_maadnbad gaf onlangs een uitverkochte show in @paradisoadam . Voorafgaand aan het concert bezocht hij de winkel van @fillingpieces het modemerk uit Amsterdam dat bekendstaat om hun populaire loafers en het verweven van Surinaamse invloeden in hun items.
Tijdens zijn show koos Psycho bewust voor een outfit van Filling Pieces, een keuze die niet alleen stijl maar ook een culturele boodschap uitdroeg. Samen met Gowtu onderstreept hij het belang van het ondersteunen van Surinaamse creativiteit en ondernemerschap, zowel in de muziek als in de mode.
