Come make Pressure prints with Marie Watt Studio @marie_watt_studio and @mullowneyprinting Saturday April 18th 1-4 pm No experience necessary !! Oregon State Capitol Salem Oregon
Join the curator of Gossip: Between Us, Victoria Miles, as we dive into the hot goss of our region’s art, art history and culture with local and well renowned art historians and artists.
Next month, on April 9, we will be welcoming artist Jeffry Mitchell. In the artist's own words, Mitchell describes himself as a “gay folk artist,” who "rejects the irony and elitism often associated with the art world." Choosing instead to work "from a philosophy of acceptance," constructing his art in vulnerable, deeply human terms. TAM hosts several works by Mitchell, spanning prints to sculpture, such as the work seen here, now on view in Gossip: Between Us.
*This quarterly conversation series will run through the duration of the exhibition. Free registration for this event can be found on our events calendar.
