As some of you may have noticed I haven’t been posting much Illustrations for some time. Life’s been kind of rocky and doing this non stop for the past 10 years have been catching up on me. Im working on finding a better balance in the way I work while listening to my body and mind. I really appreciate all the great art directors and my followers that’s been rocking with me during these years and that still does. It means a lot and I feel blessed to do this!
With these thoughts I also want to take a moment to salute all creative people who’s doing this, profesionally as well as grinding on the come up while still juggling a daytime job. It’s tough and it takes a lot to meet these deadlines, find ways to deal with the creative ups and downs in order to stay inspired and just make it work with all other bits of life’s puzzle. And don’t forget to make room for some down time and doing other things or you’ll be cooked like me! 🤡
So I thought I’d share this cover that I’ve been on my way to post for a long time now.
It was the first time I had the pleasure of working with @tboteju and her book ”Messy Perfect” and I recently finished a new cover for her. I really enjoyed working on this, very smooth process and I like the simplicity of it.
It was also fun to work on the typography on it. Just one of those smooth projects with brilliant art direction by @daveedy who’s always a pleasure to work with. More projects soon and thanks for watching!

It’s been about 3 years since I finished the cover for a track called ”Dividends” by my guy @blunovember that he was working on at the time. Dope track but unfortunately the release ended up on ice and I never posted it. Found it in the archive last night though and after dusting it off and doing some minor tweaks I felt like it would be a shame not to post it since I like how ut came out.
Another fun thing is that the initial stems got lost so me and my bro @eriksvenjohan recreated the beat for it. Erik programmed the drums and I added guitar and melodic elements. Swipe to listen ✨🎶✍️

I’ve been on my way to post this job for a while now, a series of Illustrations that I did back in March for Onward Magazine. It was for a story on retirement talking about 5 types of retirement lifestyles. The different personalities for the story was The Dynamo, The Homebody, The Social Butterfly, The Adventurer and The Philantropist.
I had lot of fun drawing these and it was great to work with AD Anton Loukhnovets again! Did a bunch of sketches that I think I’ll show in a separate post. Thanks for watching!

Gotta get better at posting so here is a piece I Illustrated for In Touch Magazine before the summer. It was for an article called ”Is Restlessness a Sin?” where the author wrote about a feeling of ”constant scanning” looking for an improved life and feeling guilty but then realizing that it was less about that and actually ”the result of a heart entirely committed to seeking god”

Here’s a new piece that I finished last week for @nytimes ✍️🗞️ This time for the Well section and the article was about the journalist and foreign correspondent Rod Nordland who was diagnosed with brain cancer close to his 70th birthday.
With a strong and positive mindset he have outlived the median life expectancy for someone with his kind of tumor and looked at it as if he had been given a second life and a chance to become more present as a father and husband.
Existential reading that me my thoughts wander away to moments in my own archive and I wanted to capture this feeling in the piece. It was also really fun to work with the great @deannadonegan again, last time was back when she was was still working at New Yorker and It’s always a pleasure!

Christmas got a little busier than planned as I had the pleasure of Illustrating my first cover for NYT Sunday Business.
