This is my contribution to 'The Butterfly Effect' fundraiser and community event on June 9th to support heritage preservation on behalf of The Niagara Foundation in Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario. The idea for this event was conceived and lead by my sister-in-law, Alison Fardoe, a very talented local artist and founder of OStudioGallery in NOTL. Proceeds for this event will assist to revitalize a nature area in NOTL known as The Wilderness. My image of a beautiful Monarch butterfly using a stylized oil paint effect, is printed on Ilford Galarie paper, a fine art, acid free medium. The 8x10 photo is matted, framed and ready to hang!

I had tears when they blasted off, and tears as they returned. Incredible journey! Math, physics, and modern technology all in perfect alignment, timing down to the minute. Crazy! No words to describe the spectacular level of human capability and knowledge to pull this off. Welcome home 🇺🇲 and 🇨🇦 astronauts!! And well done NASA and Mission Control, congratulations on an incredible voyage to the moon and back !!

When I travel, I absolutely love seeing and capturing real life, the off the beaten path type of locations. Jamaica is a beautiful country, lush and tropical, but most of it is not fancy 5 star resorts. It's a developing country with amazing people that work very hard just to get by, but, they are a resilient group of citizens that make the best of what they have. One love 🤗 Here are some shots that I took during my time spent there working as I traveled from place to place, the parts of Jamaica that most people don't get to see, or appreciate. It's simply the day-to-day reality of a Caribbean nation makin' it work.🇯🇲
