Species of Spaces #2 Lost in Space-Time No where but somewhere One hour lost in space-time. Tracks are selected in between unlocatable atmosphère, places and emotions. As architect, space explorer, sometimes work stretches across days, nights, and weekends. In those moments, I feel both exhausted and excited, mostly lost in space-time. The title started as a joke, an excuse not to prepare, because I had no time at all. Species of Spaces Today I’m super happy to start a residency at the unconventional Stranded FM in Utrecht (NL). Every two months, I’ll explore spaces through sound, inspired by Georges Perec’s way of describing places, atmospheres and the infra-ordinary. Each set will be a journey into a different place For the first episode, I’ll begin from my own space in Brussels from a book, bed, rooms, buildings, city’s atmospheres, and beyond, towards infinityyyyyyyyy Tune in today at 4 PM :)

I’m very happy to play at @kiosk.radio next Sunday, August 3rd to launch >Space is Noise<, a project exploring the relationship between space and sound (name inspired by Nicolas Jaar’s Space is only noise if you can see). This first set explores the house as a physical, mental, and sonic space. Each room becomes a sequence, each transition a passage. The mix moves from the most common to the most intimate, from ground to roof, through spaces of exchange, retreat, and memory. Inspired by Georges Perec’s Species of Spaces, the house here is not décor but a narrative structure, a perceptual frame.
