After climbing the temple and swimming in a cenote it was time for lunch. Our guide took us to experience genuine Mayan hospitality with a local family in the heart of the jungle. They taught us how to make tortillas and we saw how similar our Hawai'i and Mayan cultures were through the plants they kept, the style of cooking underground, the use of gourds and the aloha in their hearts. The best meal we all had the whole trip!

Raysha made all of us scale the Cobá temple. The 123 newish stairs are a welcomed addition. Everything was managed, the queue and time at the top is 5min max and then they send you back down. The second site we saw was their basketball court, very gladiator style, winners were sacrificed because only the best for the gods. Located near Tulum in Quintana Roo, Mexico, these ruins are part of an expansive ancient Mayan city built between 600 and 800 AD. Its centerpiece is the 42-meter (138-foot) tall Nohoch Mul pyramid, one of the tallest in the Yucatán Peninsula.

Guided tour first stop - Coba Archeological site. 2hrs from our resort lol Needed 2 different admissions to get into the park. The birthday tribe jumped on bicycles, and I opted to ride passenger in a “Mayan taxi” tricycle to get through the jungle to reach Nohoch Mul pyramid #Tulum #Yucatan #Mexico #NohochMul #Pyramid

An incredible experience in Tulum at Coba, a stunning Mayan countryside! Unlike other ruins in the Yucatan, Coba offers a jungle setting, fewer crowds, and the chance to climb the Nohoch Mul pyramid, the tallest in the area. The warmth and hospitality of the native Mayan people were unparalleled, enriching our visit with their rich cultural heritage. Sharing a private cenote and enjoying authentic cuisine made this journey unforgettable. Truly a celebration of cultural exchange! #Coba #MayanCulture #TulumAdventure 😘 #RayshaReady #LiveYourBestLife 📸PC: @tomtakataphotography

Successful weekend! Mahalo to all the chaperones and supporters. We brought 27 students and entered 11 categories; coming home with 9 awards. So proud of our team of 4th and 5th graders persevering through the challenges and working together to create media. Thank you to all the people who helped us with our fundraisers and afterschool programming. PC @sfdhawaii

Quick breakfast at the Rio's @eggslutlv - Fairfax with sausage and avocado? French toast bites, hash browns and egg salad sandwich with a "The Slut," a gourmet egg dish served in a jar with smooth potato purée, a coddled egg cooked sous-vide until runny, and garnished with chives and sea salt, often served with toasted brioche for dipping #LasVegasEats #RioLasVegas #LasVegas
