And after 9 years, my time has come to check out of the McKittrick Hotel. I am full of love, gratitude, and delicious memories as I depart. The relationships I’ve made, the stories I’ve had the opportunity to tell, will forever be with me. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey here with me. Cheers to the next chapter ⛵️ 🖼️ - indie_bindi

A few months ago I started a brand, mainly to put a title to the projects I’ve been working on - @empty.home.clothing . It’s been exciting having a place to combine my passions for vintage clothing, designing, and repurposing. I won’t be posting much about it here on my personal account, so if you’d like to check out what projects I’m up to, you know where to find me <3

A few weeks ago on my walk home from work, a small stray kitten ran up to me, sat at my feet, and began staring and meowing up at me. It was freezing, he was missing a lot of hair, and had a few scars throughout his body. After a few introductory rubs, he happily let me scoop him up and crawled into my puffer jacket until we got home. I have been fostering him since. Milo is about 1 year old. He is calm, loving, likes to play, and is the ultimate snuggler. He is up to date on all of his shots, and his hair is almost fully grown back in. If you, or anyone you know is looking for a little, amazing companion, please send a message my way. Let’s find this little guy a home <3

Squared Gradient Project ♥️♠️♦️♣️ (SOLD OUT) For this project, I used one of my standard 12 blacked out card gradients, laid in a 4 by 3 square. I then edited the black portions of the cards out, showcasing the color of the vintage blank which the graphic is printed on. The path begins as an empty card, reaches a halfway point where the blue of the card is introduced, then eventually completes itself as a full card. These are limited to only 10 crewnecks, each with a unique color and all second hand sourced. They will be individually posted with measurements and available via my story at 11am today. Excited to share another project with you all :)

The 22 Major Arcana cards - 13.5 x 36 Each card is blacked out by hand, with two separate coats, using various size markers. I have laid and set them using the numeric order they are given, beginning with The Fool (0). Choosing which details to keep for each card was very fun with this project. Having been one of the most time heavy pieces I’ve done, I’m very pleased to have it complete :)

DANCING DREAMS FUNDRAISER (SOLD OUT) Dancing Dreams is a NYC nonprofit organization that provides dance classes and performance opportunities for children and young adults with physical and medical challenges. They provide a beautiful source of community outreach and education in the area of disability awareness and tolerance. In addition, teen volunteer “Helpers” are enrolled in the Dancing Dreams Leadership Program, which enhances leadership skills and self esteem. Helpers attend workshops and are paired with a dancer whom they assist at weekly classes and performances. On Friday, I will be releasing a project that I have been working on for the last few months in an effort to raise money for Dancing Dreams. 100% of all proceeds will be donated to this organization and their mission. THE PROJECT: As some of you may know, one of my hobbies/passions is vintage clothing. There is already enough clothing in the world, and I believe we should be pushing harder to recycle what we already have, rather than pushing money into fast fashion. I have personally sourced roughly 50 blank vintage pieces, all from the 90s, in preparation for this fundraiser. Each of these items is secondhand and unique in it’s own right. Pieces include tees and long sleeve shirts ($35), crewnecks ($50), and hoodies and sweatpants ($60). An embroidered SadKidVintage logo that I’ve created is also incorporated into each piece. SadKidVintage is my store, the title of which is a play on how materialism can bring us joy and comfort, but ultimately not happiness (link in bio). Black or white embroidery is used for the signature logos, along with a limited six pieces using apple green (an ode to one of the Dancing Dreams colors). A selection of items also have one-of-a-kind hand tie-dyed treatments by the lovely @agirlnamedmallory . Please note that there is a $5 shipping cost per order. WHEN: The drop goes live tomorrow at 12p EST on my IG story. (All proceeds from my depop store tomorrow will also go to Dancing Dreams - link in bio). Please message me with any questions. I am looking forward to showing you all this project and raising money together for this amazing organization.
