To the silent nation builders: the mothers whose sacrifices often go unseen, whose prayers hold families together, and whose strength shapes generations... Happy Mother’s Day.

I was honoured to join distinguished women leaders, entrepreneurs, and industry stakeholders today at the opening of the 11th Ghana Female CEO Summit in Accra.
This platform continues to highlight an important truth: that when women lead, institutions become stronger, communities become steadier, and economies become more resilient.
Across Ghana, women are not merely participating in enterprise; in many respects, they are sustaining it.
On behalf of H.E. John Dramani Mahama, I reaffirm Government’s commitment to creating an enabling environment where women-led enterprises can thrive, scale, and compete globally. We are focused on building an economy that rewards enterprise, expands opportunity, and delivers real improvements in the lives of our people.
I left the Summit even more confident that Ghana’s best days are ahead of us.
Together, we must build a Ghana where opportunity is not limited by background, where enterprise is rewarded, and where every young woman can believe that the future belongs to her too.

Today, I joined the gallant men and women of the Ghana National Fire Service at their Fire Academy Training School here in Accra to mark this year’s International Firefighters' Day.
It was a solemn yet inspiring moment as we paused to remember the brave heroes we have lost along the way - those who paid the ultimate price in the line of duty. Their courage, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property will forever remain etched in our national consciousness.
We also took the opportunity to honour and reward outstanding officers whose gallantry, professionalism, and strong work ethic continue to exemplify the very best of public service. Their dedication serves as a powerful reminder of the critical role the Fire Service plays in safeguarding our communities.
On behalf of H.E. the President, I extend profound gratitude to all firefighters across the country. Your bravery does not go unnoticed, and your service remains deeply appreciated.
May we continue to support and equip our fire officers to carry out their duties effectively, and may the memory of our fallen heroes continue to inspire generations yet to come.

Thank you all for joining me in giving thanks to the Lord for His goodness and faithfulness throughout my journey to the 6th floor.
I am deeply humbled by your love and kindness, and even more inspired to continue serving with renewed strength and purpose.
Yesterday, in the beauty of giving and in the joy of sharing, my heart was with the children of Village of Hope in Gomoa Fette, where a special celebration was held on my behalf to mark my 60th birthday.
I am sincerely grateful to the team led by Madam Marietta Brew, who spent time with the children and shared love, laughter, and kindness with them. Their smiles and warmth are a reminder that the truest blessings in life are often found in the happiness of others. Life truly finds its greatest meaning when we reach out, uplift others, and make room for hope.
I remain humbled by the prayers, goodwill, and affection shown to me. My heartfelt appreciation goes to everyone who made this moment possible.
May we continue to remember our responsibility to one another, especially to the young and vulnerable, and may we never grow tired of choosing compassion.
God bless you all.

On behalf of H.E. President John Dramani Mahama, I was honoured to participate in yesterday’s landmark event by Toyota Tsusho Manufacturing Ghana: a significant milestone for Ghana’s automotive and industrial landscape.
Toyota’s continued investment reflects growing confidence in Ghana’s economic transformation agenda and underscores the importance of strong public-private partnerships in driving local manufacturing, innovation, and sustainable job creation.
Government remains committed to fostering a stable, business-friendly environment that supports industry growth and positions Ghana as a competitive automotive hub in the region.
Congratulations to the Toyota family on this achievement.

Today, we proudly sent off the first batch of 121 dedicated health workers to Antigua under the Government’s three-year Labour Exchange Programme: a strategic initiative rooted in strong bilateral cooperation in the health sector.
These highly trained professionals are embarking on an important journey to share their expertise abroad, address critical nursing shortages, and gain valuable international exposure that will further enhance their skills and professionalism.
To our gallant nurses: travel safely, serve boldly, and excel proudly.
