At this former post office and telephone exchange from 1890, work began above the ceiling line, building carefully within the existing roof space.
Only once the structure was resolved could the roof be peeled back, keeping the building and works below protected while revealing the new rooftop terrace. It’s a slow, deliberate process but one that suits a project where history sets the pace.
