What an insane weekend.. Jumping into a non tested car which is freshly built to standing on the podium in our first competition in 5 years, has certainly made all the hard work worth it. Only managed one practice lap after a simple teething issue @cdktuning diagnosed and fixed the problem and had me back out ready for qualifying in no time which I managed to bag 2nd place with no practice so was over the moon 🙌 top 4 battle with @alexwilliamsdrifting was definitely a highlight of the day, huge shame about his car shutting down as we have been talking behind the scenes and knew it would be a savage battle. The rear end of the 46 took a bit of a knock and may have bent something which caused us to snap 2 shafts in pro practice but despite this it’s been an amazing weekend 💙 Feeling extremely grateful and ready for the rest of the season! Want to thank @archiehammerharmer @maxdrift24 for the great spotting all day 👌 @cdktuning has built an absolute animal, couldn’t be happier with the car. Huge thanks to @chapman_e36_drifts and the team for all the support in the pits and changing driveshafts on sunday to try and get a score on the board in pro. So after its first outing. I can now release the last m50 that we built for @jd_drifting to enter into competition this year!.. this was a serious m50 at heart! From the bottom to the top nothing has been left unturned. Fully forged bottom end, making an almost true 3.1 stroker. Fully balanced bottom end with my in house crank mod, ati damper. Cdk Oil pump conversion. Baffled sump and block modifications And my new Cdk head package.. this has been a few years of testing and development.. and will now be offering these in various different specs.. but for this build we have my ported head along with super tech valves springs and retainers With my Cdk/ @pipercamsandexhausts developed cam and solid lifter package .. rebuilt vanos and custom cam timing.. we obviously built this motor to take some serious power.. but at the same time the customer wanted to have a power delivery of between 5-600hp.. so we spec’d the turbo accordingly.. the result was a big spread of power and torque that will be usable for the competition he will be driving with.. 620hp and 630ftlbs of torque is not to be sniffed at and is achieved at only 1.4 bar of boost! With a g35-900 !! So pleased to have been trusted with building this engine and car for this customer! #m50stroker #boostedbmw #
