Commercial work with @aliaabhatt for @edamamma
Comfort zones are meant to be broken out of. I spent the better part of 18months a decade ago assisting a celebrity fashion photographer and seeing celebs was an everyday deal. Itās a world of difference being an assistant and being behind the camera. It was THE most exhilarating shoots Iāve ever had. Alia is super professional, super comfortable in front of camera and knows exactly what she likes. Itās quite a feeling being part of a project thatās teeming with talent and people who are just some of the most spectacular people Iāve ever met. And I got to feed off all of that. Itās a story for my personal history books. Stay tuned for more.

My most ambitious dream, times 10.
It was a true joy to be able to create the images that Iāll be uploading intermittently over the next few days/weeks/months that I got to create earlier this year.
Commercial work with @aliaabhatt for her kids clothing brand @edamamma
Itās a shoot that will keep taking me back to early 2021, so many thoughts and emotions with this one. For now Iāll leave it at just pure joy. Unabashed crazy cool-on-the-outside, crazy-on-the-inside joy. More to share in the future.

The Self Portrait Series is by far one of my most beloved projects. It's just me being creative, allowing myself to have fun, to play, to be crazy, to inhabit other entities and to see what comes from it.
Embarking on this has helped me understand what it feels like for everyday people to be in front of camera and how to help them overcome those fears (because let's be honest, we all feel it).
This year the explorations will take new forms, going in new directions and adding even more whimsy into the practice.
If anyone would like to be part of it - hair & makeup, styling, ideation, please reach out. I love working with people and I look forward to expanding further outside my comfort zone!

Professional portraits donāt have to be bland and boring and serious.
They can be fun, playful, stylist, sultry, feminine, soft, whimsical (even unhinged). It depends what you want to put out into world.
And Iām super happy to make that happen!
Letās talk!

The Solo Portrait!
My gosh this genre of work makes me so happy! I never planned on working with women. It was never a conscious decision to document them. And yet, something in the work has resonated and now extends to a body of work that is overflowing with real women, real stories and real lives.
Whether for work, for brands, for fun or to document this moment in time, just being in the presence of women is AMAZING!!!
The fact that I get to combine it with work is another dimension I'm so grateful for!!!
If you wanted to document this moment in time, please reach out. I would love to make this happen for you or or your team.

Whimsy is my middle name!
No actually itās Abigail. But if have had the energy for it, I might change it. š
So my of my digital presence felt curated and viewer dependent. Even if I promised myself to do it for myself, eventually it would do a turn around.
So I asked myself, what if I come around to just show my weird self. Not in big chunks and not all of a sudden, but in small bite sized pieces. So here are my insights so far on doing just that - embracing the whimsy that lives in each of us, and letting it be seen.
- Show a part of yourself that you feel a bit cringe about. Like the silly faces you make with your besties. Or that very niche and random collection of spoons you collect from every city you travel to. Maybe itās the way you have to do a small dance every time something works out or that you cannot help but straighten a photo frame when itās just off centre. These small details, which you think are unique to you are actually very relatable and interesting and connect you to others. It shows personality and is really quite endearing.
- Talk about one thing that you did in the day that you think might be utterly ridiculous. Like how you spent the entire car ride home wondering how interesting life would be if you owned a unicorn. Or how you used a piece of equipment at the gym the wrong way than it was intended. Talk about the silliness and the embarrassment with a sense of humour. It makes people not feel as embarrassed about the nonsense they do.
- Allow yourself to behave like a child once in a while. Not childish, childlike. Document yourself jumping 3 stairs at a time, climbing a tree, asking people funny questions, singing loudly in the car, making faces in the mirror. Just allow your inner child to just be free.
And lastly just have fun with it all. No one really spends more than a few seconds, perhaps minutes thinking about the content you are putting out. So why not have fun with it? Why not make the best of it and who knows, maybe memorability comes from doing the whimsical.
All the best
