2024 was full of preparation and planning, with one huge surprise. I'm not really sure what to expect in 2025, but I know that life will never be the same. Big changes will happen - for better or worse.
Mind was officially blown yesterday. As the moon covered the sun, it got darker and darker until it felt like night time. It just felt weird. Unnatural. I couldn't believe what I was looking at in the sky and on my camera. It went from a bright yellow sliver to a bright white circle in the night sky. Completely different than the annular eclipse and totally worth the drive. The photos aren't as sharp or perfect as I had hoped, but it was my first time capturing it with little to no planning. I was able to catch some solar flares and the corona warping around them. Also a little fun fact: you can test Einstein's theory of relativity during an eclipse. Similar to how you can see the corona, you can also see planets that are near the sun. Since large massive objects warp space time (and light bends with space time), planets or stars would be in a different position than where they're supposed to be. Truly one of the greatest things a human can experience in their lifetime.
