I was honored to represent the Las Vegas Young Republicans in two separate long form debates, each running nearly 3 hours, with Brian Shapiro and David Mauricio. It was a real test of endurance, focus, and conviction, and I appreciated the opportunity to engage in serious conversation on the issues. A big thank you to Sean Kelly and his studio for hosting and creating the space for these discussions to happen. I’m looking forward to seeing the footage. This is part of what makes America great. We can debate, challenge each other, defend our ideas, and still keep the conversation going. #LasVegasYoungRepublicans #LVYR #NevadaPolitics #Debate #LasVegas Charafi4Nevada

This Friday, I’ll be in studio at KSHP for a Jubilee-style televised debate. If you haven’t seen the format, here’s the idea: one person in the middle, surrounded by people who disagree with them. No podiums. No timers. Just real conversation, real disagreement, on camera. It’s the format that’s gone viral over the last two years because it actually shows what people believe when they’re forced to defend it. Ten Republicans. One Democrat. One room. I’ll be representing Las Vegas Young Republicans alongside nine other conservatives going head-to-head with the other side on the issues that actually matter to Nevada. Friday, May 15 Pre-debate at 2 PM PT, main debate at 4 PM PT Televised on KSHP 1400 AM / 107.1 FM Tune in. This is what political conversation should look like. #LVYR #LasVegasYoungRepublicans #KSHP #Nevada #Politics

Hello, Nevada. I’m Joey Charafi, candidate for State Assembly District 8, and I am publicly inviting my opponent, @davidfarrakhan to debate. Debates matter. They are where ideas are tested, records are examined, and voters get to see who is truly prepared to lead. If we expect the trust of Assembly District 8 voters, then we should be willing to stand in front of them and answer tough questions. I believe Southern Nevada needs a healthier debate culture, and I believe AD8 voters deserve the chance to hear directly from both candidates before they cast their vote. So I am asking plainly: David Farrakhan, will you join me for a public debate and give the voters of Assembly District 8 what they deserve? #Charafi4Nevada #AssemblyDistrict8 #NevadaPolitics #AD8 #DebateChallenge

It was both inspiring and eye opening to attend the first Nevada GOP Convention of my political career. I was especially proud to see it held right here in Assembly District 8 at the beautiful Silverton Casino in the Veil Ballroom. It was a great reminder that politics is not just speeches and headlines. It is also the hard work of organization, coalition building, rules, debate, and the many details that make a party function. Watching delegates engage passionately on administrative questions, party business, and the direction of the Republican movement in Nevada gave me a deeper appreciation for what it takes to build something that lasts. I was grateful to be there, grateful to learn, and grateful to see so many people who care deeply about the future of our state. #NVGOP #NevadaGOP #AssemblyDistrict8 #NevadaPolitics #Charafi4Nevada Silverton RepublicanConvention

Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible mothers out there. Thank you for the love, sacrifice, strength, and steady example you bring to your families and to our communities every single day. Mothers do some of the most important work in the world, and today we honor you. I’m also very honored to have earned the endorsement of Veterans in Politics International and the Nevada Veterans Association. I’m deeply grateful for that support and for the trust it represents. Wishing all the amazing moms out there a blessed and joyful Mother’s Day. #MothersDay #Nevada #Charafi4Nevada #VeteransInPolitics #NevadaVeteransAssociation AssemblyDistrict8

It was an honor to be part of the Christians and Candidates Forum alongside so many strong candidates who care deeply about the future of Nevada. I was grateful for the chance to speak about something I believe matters now more than ever. We are not just facing political battles. We are facing spiritual warfare, moral confusion, and real threats to our children, our families, and our communities. That is why I believe faith must be matched with action. For me, that means doing tangible work in the Legislature to protect children, strengthen public safety, support families, and help Nevada thrive with real opportunity, accountability, and truth. Thank you to everyone who came out, listened, prayed, and continues to stay engaged. Nevada needs courageous leadership, and I left encouraged by the people in that room. #Charafi4Nevada #Nevada #FaithAndFreedom #NevadaPolitics #ProtectOurChildren

The U.S. government built a machine that melts through rock. You probably never heard about it. That’s not by accident. Patent 3,693,731 — Los Alamos, 1972. Then the program went quiet. 90 seconds. Watch this.☝🏽 #GroundZeroPodcast #DeclassifiedHistory #ConspiracyResearch #LosAlamos #NuclearTech

It was an honor to meet Mayor Shelley Berkley at City Hall. Strong cities require strong collaboration. As I run for Assembly District 8, I believe it is essential to work alongside city leaders, council members, and county commissioners to ensure our community stays safe, strong, and prosperous. Real progress happens when state and local leadership are aligned and focused on serving the people. I look forward to building those relationships and getting to work. #LasVegas #CityHall #Leadership #NevadaPolitics #AssemblyDistrict8 CommunityFirst PublicService CharafiForNevada

A huge thank you to Nevada Policy for hosting such an incredible Spirit of Las Vegas Dinner this weekend at Red Rock Resort. It was an honor to be in a room filled with business owners, donors, elected officials, candidates, and community leaders who truly care about the future of Nevada. Laura Ingraham delivered a powerful keynote on leadership, resilience, working families, and the importance of not giving in to defeatism. Her message about protecting opportunity, strengthening the middle class, and standing firm in conviction was timely and impactful. As both a candidate for Nevada State Assembly District 8 and someone who works in media and storytelling, I value opportunities like this to listen, learn, and continue building relationships with people who are committed to moving our state forward. Thank you again to Nevada Policy for bringing strong voices and strong conversations together. The work continues. #NevadaPolicy #SpiritOfLasVegas #AssemblyDistrict8 #NevadaPolitics #LauraIngraham

I recently traveled to Nogales to see the situation at the border firsthand, not through headlines, but on the ground. That perspective matters, especially right now. This week, authorities disabled a cross border tunnel in the Nogales area. It is a reminder that what happens at the border is complex, evolving, and directly tied to public safety, trafficking, and organized networks. These are real issues happening in real time. This is why leaders should go see it for themselves. Policy decisions made in Carson City and Washington affect real communities, and those decisions should be informed by firsthand understanding, not assumptions. Trips like this are not the glamorous part of campaigning, but they are the most educational. I went to listen, observe, and better understand what is actually happening so we can pursue informed solutions. That is the perspective I am bringing back to Nevada. #Nevada #LasVegas #BorderSecurity #Nogales #PublicSafety

Las Vegas has always been known as the Entertainment Capital of the World. But for a long time, we also carried a brand that did not always serve us well. “Sin City.” “What happens here stays here.” That messaging may have worked for tourism, but it also shaped how people viewed our city and, in many ways, how we viewed ourselves. I believe it was part of the problem. Because when a city leans too far into that identity, it can blur the line between entertainment and exploitation. And that has real consequences for families, for young people, and for how we grow as a community. We are starting to move away from that, and that is a good thing. Las Vegas is more than a slogan. It is a community. It is families. It is small businesses. It is future leaders. It is time our identity reflects that. #LasVegas #Nevada #NevadaStrong #CommunityFirst #Leadership
