For this project I used DWG color space, lately I’ve been using it in every project.
In this look the director picked this location because that water is full of salt and creates a pink colour effect in the water and he asked to enhance that and build the look around that colour palette.

About the process, I started setting up the color manage in DWG Intermediete, automatically cause I am working with RAW footage (BRAW) it does the conversion to rec709. The whole image has a yellow- green overall cast, so first step is using primaries to balance the image and get as close as posible to the reference. I used HDR wheels and dialed with temp and tint to cool it down, then I moved the contrast a bit down, and MD. Then I raised the offset up and brought down the Lights down. With the Log wheels I dialed more the look adding some magenta in the midtones and counter balance with the shadows.
After I added an S curve to get closer to the contrast I am looking for.
In HSL node I used HUEVsSAT to bring down the yellow cast, in HUEvsLUM bring down a bit the yellows and reaise a bit too the cian. With LUMvsSAT a brought down the highlighst down to get a cleaner white look. In C.Warper a shift the reds and blues to get them closer to the ones in the reference.
Like many people in this group I can't stop using HSV. This time I only used the sat node and bringing down the HL to get even cleaner whites on the high end and compensate by raising gamma a up a bit and lowering down sat a notch.
In Look Adj I used Log wheels to get depper blacks, range at 0.179 and -20 in Shadows.
Reduce sharp a bit and add NR to clean the footage and add some 25mm 200T film grain as a final touch.
