Behind every foster care story is a young person who deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported.
During Foster Care Awareness Month, we honor the strength of children in care and the dedication of caregivers, caseworkers, and advocates helping build brighter paths forward.
Small acts of support can have a lasting impact.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month.
This month, let’s normalize conversations about mental health, support one another, and create space for healing without judgment.
Small steps toward mental wellness still count.

May is Foster Care Awareness Month
Every child deserves safety, support, and the opportunity to thrive. This month, we recognize the resilience of youth in foster care and honor the families, advocates, social workers, and communities who show up for them every day.
You can make a difference by mentoring, fostering, donating, volunteering, or simply raising awareness.
Together, we can help create brighter futures for children and teens in care.

A huge thank you to the men of the Edenwald Cottage 6 Lunch Bunch for once again bringing the joy of gardening and healthy living to the residential youth of JCCA!
This marks the 5th year of their amazing “Farming of Vegetable Events,” where our youth not only learn how to grow their own crops, but also experience the pride and excitement of eventually eating the vegetables they helped cultivate themselves.
The smiles, teamwork, and hands-on lessons shared throughout this tradition continue to make a lasting impact year after year. We are so grateful for your dedication, mentorship, and commitment to helping our youth learn valuable life skills while creating healthy habits for the future.
Thank you for planting seeds of knowledge, confidence, and community!
This Mother’s Day, JCCA proudly celebrates all mothers and mother figures whose love, compassion, and strength help children and families thrive every day.
Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at JCCA. 💐
An unforgettable evening at the Mandarin Oriental NYC.
Nearly 500 guests came together in support of JCCA’s mission — and thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, honorees, and lead event sponsor Paul, Weiss, we raised a record-breaking $1.3 million to support youth and families who turn to JCCA for belonging, stability, and hope.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who sponsored, donated, attended, and pledged their support. Together, we are building a stronger future for the next generation.

Our Lunch Bunch Program has been bringing volunteers and young people together for something simple—but powerful: time spent together.
Over lunch, laughter, and shared activities, volunteers connected with youth in ways that go far beyond a single visit.
For many of these young people, moments like these mean having someone show up, listen, and celebrate them—sometimes in ways they haven’t experienced before.
Programs like Lunch Bunch remind us that healing and growth often start with connection. One conversation. One shared meal. One moment that says our youth matter.
